It is rare to listen to a new cd for the first time and immediately love every single song! Matt is as refreshing as they come. It's evident he puts his heart and soul into writing his music and we're treated to a beautifully honest performance in the end.

A while back, I set up a "John Mayer" station on Pandora.com. While listening to various artists, I heard a song I've never heard before and it caught my attention. I looked and saw it was someone named Matt Wertz. Never heard of him. Listened a while longer and heard another song which I really enjoyed. I checked the artist, and it was that Matt Wertz guy again. I listened a while longer and heard another song I really enjoyed. I checked a third time, and it was again Matt Wertz. His music is crisp, inventive, well written and fun to listen to. My wife and I ended up enjoying it so much, that it was practically all we listened to during our recent 25th anniversary in Maui. Top down, Maui sunshine and great new music which will remind us of our trip!

Will someone help me understand why this guy isn't all over radio?

Ever since my roommate went to a Matt Wertz concert and made me listen to this CD, I've been hooked. Now I've seen him perform twice and I listen to these songs over and over all the time. My favorites are "5:19," - who hasn't been waiting for a phone call? - and "Carolina," but "The Way I Feel" and "Heartbreaker" are really fun, too, and... well... I love them all! Get this CD and give Matt a chance - and definitely catch one of his shows if he comes to town.

i've had this album for about 6 months, and i love it! i instantly became attached to matt's music after i discovered him (through jon mclaughlin). each song on this album has its own style. i think "naturally" stands out the most. my favorite track from this CD is "capitol city".
matt's voice is amazing. he can reach high notes, low notes, and he can yell out words pretty well! his voice also holds a lot of emotion.

if you like this CD, also get "twentythree places". that album is amazing, also.

Matt Wertz was new to me, but this CD has stayed playing in my car and my head.

This is an amazing album. Matt Wertz comes through as always. Great quality product as well. My favorite songs include 5:19, Carolina, and I will not take my love away. It's an album anyone should own.

Matt has a great voice, and some real good tunes. I love Carolina and Heartbreaker. 5:19 is a song that everyone with half a heart will be able to identify with...good things to come from Matt!!!
