I just got this book, and it's great. There is a lot of information on many subjects, from potty training to traveling. There is information there relating to foods toxic to chihuahuas that other books recommend feeding them. This brings up things I need to ask my vet. It's always good to have up to date information. There aren't a lot of pictures, but this is more of an informational book than a picture book.

This book helped with understanding the temperament of the Chi. It has been an excellent aid with potty training, basic commands, and hazards that could harm or kill your Chi.

very good book, i just adopted a 2 year old chi & i love him dearly but he was not well socialized or well-temermented & this book gave me soo much information on how to correct that even though hes not a puppy and the advice works lol i take my pup to the park in the AM when dog off leash time is allowed and now he plays and doesnt hide or attack and thanks for all the chi adivce

The Everything Chuhuahua book is a great adition to the bookshelves of this breeds owners or to anyone who is interested in learning a thing or two about these lovable dogs. Filled with intersting facts and stories about the raising and training of chihuahuas, this books makes sure to keep you entertained. A great part about this books is the small icons throughout each section that either tell you warnings for this breed, facts, tips, and questions/anwsers. These icons help the reader to jump quickly to what they are interested in reading. The only downside that I found in this book is the lack of information about when dogs are in season and the breeding process. Otherwise this book is filled with basic chuhuahua knowledge that will inspire many to truly care for their chihuahua.

This book is absolutely amazing. There is so much information packed into it. I would honestly recommend it to every person who plans on owning a chihuahua, or anyone already owns a chihuahua. I've bought quite a few books on chihuahuas and toy dogs. This book is definitely superior to all of them. This book is written so anyone can easily understand it. The training tips are very step by step. The book is pretty objective when discussing both sides of an issue. All in all, this book is amazing. I recommend it to everyone.

Good Book for the money. Better than the "Chihuahuas for Dummies" book I bought just before.

Ok, let's start off with the fact that his book is written for people who have a little direction with dogs to begin with. This may be the case for the general population of America, but I'm just pointing it out. I did find a lot of interesting facts pointed out here that were not pointed out in other books - about pack behaviour, food issues, and such generally overlooked information such as costs of a realistic first year ownership. This book gave our family some great guidance before and after we adopted our two dogs.

Before we got our new chihuahua baby, I had ordered this to give me some insight to the breed & this book exceeded all my expectations. I constantly go back to this. From potty training a puppy to senior care & all the stages in between. This one really is the only chihuahua book you will need.

This book is great, however it does not mention breeding, coat color genetics or some of the issues that can arise with the reproductive organs (cryptos or pyometera) so falls short of an "Everyting" book, but for the average owner would be great. For the breeder or people that want to get into showing chis additional books will be needed. Still a good book for all owners to have!
