I thought this book was very informative for new or novice coin collectors. There is a ton of information about how coins are made, how you can go about starting a collection, and intersting facts about coins. I like that they mention not all old coins are particularly valuable, and that a coin collection quality is more important than quantity. That friend who has an old coffee can full of pennies has an accumulation - not a collection!

The book also provides resources to find coin dealers, websites that would interest coin collectors, and a good glossary with all the coin jargon. I think it's worth getting if you have any inesterest in collection circulating or commemorative coins. If you are a coin investor, this book won't have enough information though, but for most readers it'll be 5 stars.
