4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Book for Beginners
I bought this book when my twins first started eating solids, and it is my favorite so far. Some cook books for baby food include complex recipes that seem like they will take hours. The recipes in this book, however, are very simple, so that cooking my babies' food was no longer intimidating at all. It also includes a lot of recipes that seem simple but that I never...

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay, but not great
I was not thrilled with this book, the Baby and Toddler Meals for Dummies had better recipes in my opinion. The recipes in this book required me to by too much food that we usually don't keep in the house, and every recipe included cottage cheese seemed like and my daughter does not like cottage cheese in any form. So I will pass it on to one of my friends that might get...

I bought this book when my twins first started eating solids, and it is my favorite so far. Some cook books for baby food include complex recipes that seem like they will take hours. The recipes in this book, however, are very simple, so that cooking my babies' food was no longer intimidating at all. It also includes a lot of recipes that seem simple but that I never would have thought of on my own. Pureed chicken and applesauce, for example, has become a staple for my babies. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that a couple of the recipes for teething biscuits did not work out at all. Overall, though, a great book.

This is a very good book if you have never prepared fresh food for your baby or toddler and want to venture beyond jarred foods. Some of the recipes are kind of no-brainers, and I wondered why they were even included at all. But overall, a great beginner book if you are looking for some simple things to prepare.

This book has many basic recipes plus some imaginative ones I look forward to trying. The recipes are divided by age which is great. I don't know if I can keep my commitment to only feeding my baby homemade baby food but this certainly leaves me no excuses when it comes to the amount of recipes.

I am an overwhelmed new first time mom and this book has helped me overcome some of my concerns about cooking and what to feed my baby. It's simple and practical in it's recipes. Good for first time moms that get lots of advice from many well intended people...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful & Healthy Cookbook, February 22, 2011

Looking forward to cooking a lot of these unique and easy recipes. The recipes are healthy and natural for my baby which is my goal - they also used things that I would not have normally thought of, hopefully teaching my little man to like lots of different things. Things that even mommy hasn't (but will try). This book looks wonderful, as far as I have read which is about 75% and the recipes don't call for ridiculous ingredients either!

We love, love, love this book. I went back and forth between a couple of them but ultimately decided on this one based on the reviews. It breaks it down by age range and the only reason it got 4 stars is because their 9-12m section still had everything as a puree and my 10m old won't touch purees anymore. But I guess that could be personal preference too. Anyway, they have a plethora of food ideas for a baby. And it's all really good stuff! We sometimes find ourselves "tasting" all her leftovers!

The item arrived in a very timely manner, even though it was sent to an APO address. It was in great condition. I'm looking forward to making recipes from it!
