I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband and he has hardly put it down since he opened the package. He has always been interested in zombies and since this book was just published I figured he hadn't read it yet. He's totally into it and now has me reading it, too (when I can steal it from him)! First of all, this book has really does live up to it's title - it has EVERYTHING you would ever want to know about zombies. We are now armed with all available knowledge on zombie history, their biological make-up, and how to survive an attack which as parents we appreciate because we have two small children. Also, the author has studied zombie film history in depth and gives fascinating analyses of these films. Lastly, it is fun and interesting to read which is important to me in a non-fiction book. An easy five stars for this book and a must-read for all parents.

If the zombie craze is an allegory for the countdown to Armageddon, then Matt Mogk is our modern day Noah. Buy this book in pairs and start building your ark. The illustrations are impeccable. The structure is imminently readable. And the substance may save your life -- or better yet, allow you to keep living while dead!

This book is certainly different. If you're a fan of zombie movies (or monster movies in general) you will probably get a kick out of this book. I am proudly one of those fans, but I found myself getting bored and skipping from paragraph to paragraph every now and then. It's as if the author's publisher trapped him within a set amount of pages to write. While fun at times, I found it to be incredibly repetitive.

Everything Zombies was a really fun and easy read - flew through it in a day and a half There is a lot of information in the book, but laid out in smaller sections so you really don't get bored. That layout will also help when needing to reference a fact (which you eventually will need to do). And the writing is generally pretty funny, which is a bonus. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be the life of the party now that I'm armed with some of the info I learned reading this. And I KNOW I can now win the argument of whether Jesus is a zombie. In case you were wondering...JESUS IS NOT A ZOMBIE!!

This book is a love letter to the zombie genre.

If you know nothing about zombies then Matt will get you up to speed and probably make a fanboy out of you.

If your already a fan of zombies, then look foward to a great read with plenty of interesting facts about survival, zombie movies, culture, games, and zombies in general. Plenty of quotes and citations also give this book a great sense of authenticity. Also, this is NOT a rip-off of "The Zombie Survival Guide" (another awesome book btw).

Now I understand that there have been a lot of zombie themed books out as of late since Max Brooks kicked off the zombie book craze, some of which are great while others were clearly just put forth to make money. "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Zombies" thankfully does not fall into the latter category.

Matt Mogk definitely put a huge deal of love and effort into his book and is probably the biggest zombie fanboy I have ever seen, which is a good thing.

It's an easy read, plenty of facts for even the most jaded undead fan, and you will definitely be sad once the last page has been turned.

If your a zombie fan, you do a disservice to the genre by not reading this book.

Great buy, 110% satisfied.

Well, this book actually defines zombies. Yes, until this book (as stated, and as far as I know) there wasn't a definition in the dictionary for the terrifying, flesh-craving, shambling, rotting corpses we all know and love. The rest of the book from that point just goes on to either entertain or scare the crap out of you. Or both. I'm a member of the Zombie Research Society and have been a devoted reader of the blog, so some of the information was not new to me. But, the book was so well written with good pictures and funny stories, I enjoyed learning things all over again. It's a must read for people that think they know a lot about zombies to people who don't even know what a zombie is (cue 99% of people over the age of 40).

I know this Zombie book is great for year-round enjoyment, and I feel more at ease heading toward Halloween and darkest time of the year with this tome in hand. You too can prepare yourself for an outbreak of Zombies with this comprehensive, fun guide to the creepy crawly un-dead populating these pages and the edges of our "safe" seeming day to day existence. Chock full of eye-pleasing graphics and engaging research, the book pulled me along with intriguing facts and great writing. It made for lively entertainment, too, with friends over recently for a dinner party. Thanks to author Matt Mogk, I've educated myself about the little understood undead, and enjoying some serious laughs along the way.

I am not a zombie aficionado and would never have thought that I would enjoy this book, BUT I DID. A friend gave it to me for a pre-Halloween gift and I devoured it in a day. I thought it might be fun but I really didn't think I'd be truly interested but I couldn't help myself. The combination of science and myth and humor and film history was just too good to resist. I've just decided to be a zombie for Halloween since I can now answer any and all questions that I might be asked.
