Not as described
I was very disappointed with this book. The description wasn't thorough and it is nothing at all as I expected. I will return it. If you're looking for a way to record family history and ancestry this isn't the book for you.

Just went to the local bookstore to find some good books for my mother-in-law who has expressed an interest in family history. After reading through several excellent choices, I finally settled on Everything Family Tree by Kimberly Powell. The layout and format is very easy to follow and the writing is friendly, professional, and easy to understand. It covers every genealogy topic I can think of, including surname origins and DNA testing, plus research in all of the major record types. Not very expensive either, so I ended up buying a second copy for myself. An outstanding book for beginner to intermediate genealogists.
