I'll never forget my first taste of real, Italian gelato. Soon after I was married, I was fortunate enough to travel for several weeks across Europe with my husband and our close friends. Our first night in Italy comprised of a gondola ride, pizza margherita, and two scoops of the most decadent coconut gelato I have ever eaten. Since then, I've had more than my fair share of the frozen delight, and make it a point to sample new and exciting flavors whenever I find myself in any Italian city. As research, of course!
Since beginning my food blog three years ago, I have experimented at great lengths with ice creams, sorbets and gelatos in my own kitchen, and have loved the results. Everything from the simplest granitas, to fresh sorbets, to decadent ice creams, and of course, gelato, have been included in this book, as well as special chapters for vegans and those requiring sugar-free recipes. You'll also find wonderful ice cream cakes, pies, and other spectacular frozen desserts here too!
It is my hope that you will experiment with my recipes, stir up your own childhood (or adulthood!) memories, and perhaps create a few special memories for your own children or grandchildren. Buon appetito!

It is a fairly good book, one I will refer back to from time to time. Not advanced, but simple recipes. Better for novice and intermediate ice cream makers.Published 7 days ago by Cajun Gourmet

I love that this book has both simple and more advanced recipes. It has great tips in the front and on each recipe. I've made quite a few ice creams now.Published 4 months ago by Tracilynne M McCartney
I bought this as a gift for my son and daughter-in-law to go along with an ice cream maker I gave them. The recipes look fabulous and there are so many of them. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Melodie Frye
