She has worked in pediatric nutrition for more than ten years and, currently, she is a senior clinical nutritionist at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. Ms. Hart has years of experience working with children and families to meet their unique nutrition goals. She enjoys working with families to find creative solutions to their nutrition challenges. Ms. Hart lives with her loving husband, wonderful son, and also her dog and turtle!

Kim Lutz (Chicago, IL) is a mom-taught cook and a coauthor of The Everything Organic Cooking for Baby & Toddler Book. Format: Plastic Comb Verified Purchase
I purchased this book hoping that it would have some good recipes for my child's GF CF diet since we live in an area that doesn't have specialty stores, or a large selection of GF CF options even in the specialty sections. I was hoping the recipe book would have recipes that are just naturally GF CF free. That is not the case. I haven't spent an extensive amount of time studying the book but from what I had read so far most of the recipes require special items. Special GF pasta, special GF flour, Special GF things I have never even heard of before. For me it was a waste of money. I imagine if you live closer to a big city where they have stores that sell those types of products this book will be more help to you then it was to me.

Format: Plastic Comb
I borrowed this book from the library in hopes to find something to start with and this book only lists calories, fat, protein, and fiber. A lot of recipes are made with lots of sweet and high sugar/high carb/high glycemic index items (like juices, honey, rice, gluten free items(which many of these items are filled with sugar or rice), and soy, etc.

Based on the fact that they have limited nutritional information, I will not be using or buying this book.

I do not give my son a lot of sugar or juices. He eats enough in fruit and veggies already, I don't need him to get more.

I found this for a fair price and we are doing the GFCF diet for our daughter.I was surprised by the way it looked for one and for two i really hardly saw any of the recipes i was hoping to find.Stuff any 3 year old wouldnt really eat.At least not mine as children with autism are very picky.I would recommend on my experience another book

I checked this out from the library before I purchased & keep going back to it as I am teaching myself to go on a gluten/dairy free diet with my family. It has good information for beginners and good recipes for kids! It's a keeper! If you are serious about this diet there is nothing easy or familiar about going on it, but this book has great info!
