These songs are beautiful, tasteful and thoughtfully crafted. I normally don't like "pop" music, but this album is different. You won't find mindless drone or stupid lyrics repeated over and over and over. What you find instead is the soul of a sensitive, gifted songwriter. She is a master of melody. Impressive. 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, October 7, 1999

Lori Carson has always been a talented, adventerous artist, but none of her solo albums or her outstanding collaborations with the Golden Paliminos could have prepared listeners for the gorgeous, sensuous songs here. From the hauting and delicate "Souvenirs" to the languidly erotic "Somethings Got Me", this is pop songcraft of the highest order. I have recommended this disc to many friends and each one of them has thanked me for turning them on to this wonderful singer/songwriter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful..., October 12, 1999

Her raspy voice puts me in a trance with her semi-acoustic jazzy folk alternative style. Lori Carson is a true artist with well-orchestrated songs that speaks not just to women but to unsuspecting guys. I loved every minute of this album, and the bonus disc with the remixes aren't bad either. Basically, this is just a really good album.

4.0 out of 5 stars intimate listening, September 19, 2005
This review is from: Everything I Touch Runs Wild (Audio CD)
Lori carson's voice is fragile and small...but powerful and affecting. these songs deal with heartbreak and other personal experiences...mostly sad stuff. the music is low key piano, guitar, some electronic elements pop up once in awhile, but nothing too intrusive for the general "down" feel of the album. "Black Thumb", "Snow Come Down", and her cover of "I Saw The Light" are particularly good. music for late nights/early morings.

5.0 out of 5 stars I FOUND IT!, March 3, 2003

This review is from: Everything I Touch Runs Wild (Audio CD)
I saw the movie waking the dead not long ago and found it entrancing but even more so than the movie was the graceful song that played over the the emotional climax and end credits.
i sought out the artist, song title and album and finaly came to this purchase. the song, snow comes down, is for now the highlight of the album for me but its all so fantastic that may shift over time.
the last time a movie sent me on such a frantic and concerted search was in 1997 when good will hunting sent me after elliott smith. This instance has thus far proved just as rewarding.

Lori tem um indrível dom de cantar as músias de forma tão honesta, sensível e sensual... Simplesmente maravilhoso !!! A música que mais amo é "Snow Come Down", do filme "Waking the Dead" ("Amor Maior que a Vida").

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything She Sings Is Sensual, May 5, 2000
This review is from: Everything I Touch Runs Wild (Audio CD)
The lyrics of Lori Carson are silky, smooth, sultry, and oh-so apropos. She is narrative, yet manages to come up with phrases that make you sit back and think about your own life. Her unique lyrical style of repeating phrases with different melodic stresses is haunting. This is a CD that you can cry to over a glass of wine or get motivated by while you are doing a project. What a find!

5.0 out of 5 stars Put a log in the fire, December 22, 1998
This review is from: Everything I Touch Runs Wild (Audio CD)
A lovely, intimate portrait produced in Lori Carsons home studio. She truly captures moments of despair, heartbreak, and lonliness while never letting things get maudlin. This is a beautiful recording.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love her lyrics, December 16, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love Lori Carson's lyrics. I have listened to "Snow Come Down" about 1,000 times on repeat. There is a lot to like on here. The seemingly neverending versions of "Something's Got Me" does get annoying, especially when they're almost the same.
