4.0 out of 5 stars Great Effort with a slightly different sound... November 1, 2013
Format:MP3 Music
Hellogoodbye has changed numerous times over the band's journey, from the electronic pop that was Zombies! Aliens! etc., to the driving melodies of Would it kill you?, they seem to never sit in one place or genre for that matter. Each album stands on its own telling a different story.

In the same vein, Everything is Debatable tends to lean more towards Zombies! Aliens! etc... in that heavy synths and low bass notes dominate most of the tracks. The album tells a complete story and it is hard to pick a separate track that stands out. If one has to be picky, you might say that the energy lessens after "I Don't Worry" but each song still has a place in the complete scheme. Favorites are "I Don't Worry", "Swear you're in Love", and "Just Don't Let Go Just Don't".

Final thoughts: If you are a fan of either of the previous albums, you will want to pick Everything is Debatable up!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Genius! March 24, 2014
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I never liked HelloGoodbye back in eighth grade when people seemed to like them very much. Even now, when I heard they'd released a new album, listening to their old music didn't bring up any memories, or any affection for their music. It just wasn't my style.
This changes everything, however. This is a truly beautiful listen-through album. Every song is magical and creative, with inspiring lyrics and gentle music. It's honestly a piece of art, and while it's nothing like their old albums, it's a complete step up in my opinion. Strange as it seems, it's the kind of album that you can play out loud and know it'll be a hit. Just gorgeous.
