Comprehensive, Easy, and Readable
I like this book because it's detailed, yet easy to read -- and makes difficult tasks seem doable. Ellen always gets deep into any subject she discusses, and these helpful details make all the difference. She tackles the all new PowerPoint 2007 interface well, and takes care to introduce all the new features in this version of PowerPoint.

basic to intermediate content
I expected to get more advanced content in this book. It is geared towards basic to intermediate users of PowerPoint (should have read the Introduction, as it says this). Some good shortcuts here and there, but a lot of basic things too.

This book was a HUGE help for me while learning PowerPoint 2007. It was remarkably clearly written and easy to follow. While I'm not a big fan of all the changes to the PowerPoint (and the Office suite generally), it's great to have a well-written guidebook for coping with the increased complexity!
