After teaching kindergarten for many years and staying home 8 years to raise my chilren, I returned to the classroom as a First Grade Teacher. This book was (and still is) invaluable. I used so many of her wonderful ideas last year and am re-reading it this summer to pick up some more! I will refer to this book over and over again and HIGHLY reccommend it to beginning First Grade teachers and First Grade teachers who want to add something new to their first grade classrooms!!

Wow this is a huge book.... it's taken me 2 days just to browse the first half of it.... It has enormous amounts of information... and a lot of useful, useful stuff , great ideas and details...
My reservation would be that, to me, Ms. Dragan's style is more like how I see Kinder than first grade. In our district, first grade is a little more formal and structured - still there's lots of stuff that will help me and everything is adaptable to our local scenarios
