5.0 out of 5 stars Just so you know
I didn't write this book. I was a paid technical reviewer, and read an early version of it. I offered some feedback, but certainly didn't write any of it. I assume that Lesley Bolton wrote all of it. I didn't know they were going to put my name and Ph.D. on the cover of the first version, let alone as first author, and I was seriously not pleased when I got my copy. I...

3.0 out of 5 stars A fairly basic overall study
While this book is very well written, the subject matter is fairly basic broad review of psychology. This book is more intended for the most novice scholar in this subject matter. For someone who knows a lot about this field, this book is a fairly basic review of a lot of the most basic of theories, such as Freud and Jung. I recommend this book to beginners for certain,...

For someone who knows a lot about this field, this book is a fairly basic review of a lot of the most basic of theories, such as Freud and Jung. I recommend this book to beginners for certain, but I don't think it's really meant for people who know a lot about the subject because it really doesn't go in detail enough.

I suggest that anyone who works with the Everything company read their contract carefully.

Lesley has a lot to be proud of, and I am honored to be associated with her work. But it's her work.

My 18-year-old is college bound next autumn. She plans on studying the social sciences with an emphasis on psychology. She's been enjoying "why we do the things we do," which of course is giving her insight into herself as well as others, including her papa. This is a good primer for the big textbooks coming her way. She is enjoying the book and finds it very interesting.
