Eric Starr (New York, NY) is an accomplished composer, drummer, pianist, and recording artist who has been playing music for more than twenty years. A three-time recipient of the prestigious Meet the Composer Grant, he has played sold-out shows at Lincoln Center. Mr. Starr composed chamber music for NYC productions of William Shakespeare?s Twelfth Night, Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, and Macbeth. I ordered this book recently as I took up drum set as a hobby. I have really been enjoying it. It contains the basic info you need to play basic rock beats. It's clear and well written, and even comes with a CD with recorded demonstrations of the various rock beats and exercises.
