nothing sucks about this album,
This review is from: Everything Sucks (Audio CD)
The Descendents' previous album Milo Goes To College was great, and The Descendents' new album, Everything Sucks is even better! All of the songs are classic original punk rock songs, and they have shown there true colours and proved how good they actually are. The first song, Everything Sucks, Coffee Mug, and Sick-O-Me are great songs, along with all of the others on the album, but the best song, and the reason I bought the album is I'm The One, which is legendary and will go down as one of the best songs in the history of punk rock. I would seriously consider buying Everything Sucks, because once you put it in your CD Player, it will be hard to take out (because it is a good album, not because it will jam your CD Player).- E d d y

Wow, The Descendents! What else is there to really say? This band is amazing, I love all their work. This is probably their best release. Every song on here is classic. I never find myself skipping on. Descendents are just one of those punk/pop-punk bands whos melodic fast paced songs just stick into your head. I love how they can play fast in your face punk rock, then transition into a more melodic pop-punk styling. Milo Aukerman is one of my favorite lyricists because he's simple, catchy, and gets his point accross. He's very good at catching my attention. Plus this guy is no dummy, he went to college and majored in biochemistry. wow, fantastic eh?. He really goes through things a lot of guys can relate to, like girls (haha), growing old, love for coffee, and that's just to name a few. Their guitarist Stephen Egerton has got this distinct sound, thats almost amazing, I dont know what it is, but i love his fast chord progressions, and his sound is just very unique in a way, its raw yet polished..??? i cant explain it. Sure he isnt a Clapton or Hendrix, but thats no reason to say I dont like him. Bill Stevenson is a solid drummer, dishing out great punk/pop-punk beats. Karl, their bassist always gets to me with his intro on "Caught". All four of these men are in their own bracket. I feel they are one of the best punk bands out there. Black and The Descendents are my favorite punk bands ever. This album shines. So pick it up, along with Milo Goes, Somery, and ALL, DESCENDENTS = GOODNESS. Highlights of this album are "We", Sick O Me, Caught, This Place, When I Get Old, Hateful Notebook, Coffee Mug, She Loves Me, and my favorite song Rotting Out, overall this album wont dissapoint anybody who is a fan of punk or pop-punk for that matter.

What Pop/Punk Is Supposed to Sound Like,
By
This review is from: Everything Sucks (Audio CD)
The Descendents have remained a pop/punk band through the years, never giving up they're loud original sound. Being the inspiration to many bands (examples being: Blink 182, The Ataris) is what first attracted me to this great band, and then I found out that Milo Aukerman (Vocals) is a scientist. I was like "Whoa, how awesome is that?!" Standout tracks include "I'm the One", "When I get Old", and "Sick-O-Me". "She Loves me" is another song that appeals to me, not just for the outstanding instrumentals, but the lyrics are what first appealed to me. It shows both sides of love: the good kind and the bad. This CD shows off some of Milo's greatest lyrics to date. This CD deserves way more than 5 stars. Buy it!
