Everything Doesn't Suck!,

Espically this CD! Sure, its low quality and about half the songs are featured on other RBF albums("Turn the Radio Off", "Why Do They Rock So Hard?", and "Keep Your Recipt"). And if you've never heard of this skankin' band, this isn't exactly the best place to start. Only a die hard RBF fan like myself could truly enjoy this CD. The sound of the samples may discourage you from purchasing it, but believe me, any true a RBF fan would appreciate and love this awesome CD! I know you're gonna love the added sax solos and a different trombone player, but with that there is a down side. Scott(trumpet/vocals) was not in the band during the time RBF recorded this CD. And that would leave all the trumpet duties to my buddy Tavis. In conclusion I'd say this is truly a great addition to any lover of sarcastic ska and RBF!

The Early Years, and it shows.,
This review is from: Everything Sucks (Audio CD)
Reel Big Fish is the best band ever, and they should rule the world. That being said, this cd is not their best. I really believe that the band's inexperience shows in this album.
THE HIGHS: +The overall sound of the album is more of a punk sound. Even though it does not deserve to be called punk, in its self, it is faster and louder than The Fish's latter work. +The horn section is extremely prominent, and well inter-webbed the rest of the music. +Classic RBF! +Its Reel BIG Fish! THE LOWS: -A few of the songs are definite fillers. -The songs which were re-recorded for other discs, don't sound near as good on this album. -Some of the songs sound like crap-"Trendy" sounds waaay better on 'Turn The Radio Off', on a couple of the songs it doesn't even sound like the band has ever played together in their lives. -The horn section is very loose. OVERALL: A good album from Reel Big Fish. It could have used alot of re-mastering and overdubbing. But it is really fun to listen to the early sound of then poor band which now is a great band with a little more money to spend on production. A little faster and less serious effort then the post "Sell-Out" RBF. And i mean 'less serious' in a good way. A Must for Reel Big Fish fans.

A very interesting look at RBF,

I can understand how someone might not like this at first, it is a little bit rough around the edges, but it really is a good album, especially considering that it is a rerelease of the first effort of an established band. Most of the songs are pretty good, the sax adds some interesting flavor and the guitar work from Aaron and Matt shines. Some of the stuff that hasn't been seen on other albums is actually pretty good, notably Call You and Why Do All Girls Think They're Fat. TTRO and WDTRSH are both better albums, but if you have room for another RBF album in your collection this is worth picking up.

RBF, Kills again,
By Nick (USA) - See all my reviews

This I belive is there best CD out of the four that I know of. Turn the radio off, Y do they rock so hard, and Keep your recipt. Even though this is RBF's 1st CD re-relesed with a few new tracks, my favorites are still "Beer" and "Big F*$kin Star". if you haven't bought Turn The radio off yet then I suggest that you buy that 1st then This, Y? Because T.T.R.O. has more of a Beging RBF style, or you could just say FK it and buy this one Cuz its totaly cool! Fod gods sake, Buy it now, please.

Reel Big Fish - Everything Sucks,
By Austin (America) - See all my reviews

Reel Big Fish has released many great albums. There first being Everything Sucks. Unfortunately due to limited pressing of the CD it sold itself out. Now for people who couldn't get it the first time it is re-released with two bonus tracks, and the music video to Everything Sucks. It's a great album, and a must for any TRUE Reel Big Fish/SKA fan.

Everything Sucks... Easily their best CD,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Everything Sucks (Audio CD)
Reel Big Fish is my favorite ska band, and unlike most people it seems, I love Everything Sucks. I think it's much better then Why Do They Rock So Hard?, Keep Your Reciept, or Turn the Radio Off. It's got about 13 songs from other CDs, but they sound very different. I like this older sound alot more then their newer Mojo stuff. My advice? Buy this CD. If you think you're a Fish fan but don't like it, have yourself put to sleep.

ive loved rbf for years now and i finally bought this title from amazon.com. It is allright but you have to realize the sound quality is lacking and the songs seem a little slower. dont buy unless you are a huge rbf fan with $16 burning a hole in your pocket.

Although Everything Sucks isn't up to par with today's mastered tracks it has that amateur recording sound that makes it unique. It's a wonderful album any RBF fan should have. It's great to hear how the tracks from their original have progressed through the years.

Just so you know where I'm coming from, I loved 3rd wave as a kid so when I bought this cd years ago I expected something as good as skankin pickle or catch 22 or some other third wave band, but I was deeply disappointed. I gave it quite a few chances and decided after another RBF album that the band is just a degenerate third wave band. From the music to the attitude, they disgrace the genre of ska. If you're looking for filler and a negative outlook on life then buy this cause with it EVERYTHING SUCKS.
