We bought this book somewhere else. Last night we bagan reading it together. It is about as simple and easy to read introduction to Tantra that you will ever find. Wonderfully BS free, humourous and interesting. It certainly covers all the questions we want to ask.
If you want an introduction to Tantrayana...then this book should be it.
We explored at little last night...and came away with glows that have lasted all day.
Wonderful book...should be on your bookshelf.

What complete crap this book is, and not just boring!
It's all fluffy filling-up empty blah-blah, from someone who hasn't even bothered to get a clue and doesn't know the first thing about tantra.
I have perused the whole book page by page from A to Z to give it a chance, and it is even offensive in that as often as not, it's even the opposite of tantra, and most often just isn't about tantra at all; when it is ( IF it is - e.g. history), it is so vague and boring and dry, although also fluffed-up, that it will only serve to turn people away from tantra.
Finally, I thought I knew relatively little about tantra but reading this, I feel I myself could already write a better book than this on the subject!
I believe most everybody finding this page will already know more on the subject that this would-be writer (who also writes in annoying would-be journalistic style).
I do not appreciate that she treats as information on tantra the incitement to having sexual fantasies during lovemaking (instead of being rooted in reality, in your body and in the present moment, freeing yourself from mental distractions and being tuned in to your partner's and your spiritual energies, etc), using porn videos, sex toys, etc.
Added to that, there is no pleasure in turning the pages, which are cheap and not glossy, with the other side showing through, there is no picture, no colour, nothing could be dryer and less sensual.
Cheaply fast-written "book" (by someone used to writing in Playboy and Penthouse magazines - though knowing this didn't stop me buying the book; I wish it had.
Luckily, since then, I've been looking into other tantric books that have many and fantastic "Look inside" pages to read on Amazon, and I will be soon choosing a better book to replace this one (but will take more time selecting it this time than for this one).
