Most Logical and Geographic Oriented Travel Book to Date,
This review is from: The Everything Travel Guide to Ireland: From Dublin to Galway and Cork to Donegal - a complete guide to the Emerald Isle (Everything (History & Travel)) (Paperback)
I absolutely loved using this book in and around Ireland. I love how it is geographically and logically constructed so finding things to do, places to eat and stay are not only comprehensive, but easy and effortless. I loved the e-tid-bits and hints that helped us find some of the off-the-beaten walks and little gems in some of the cutest little towns. I can't wait for more books from this author, as his (and her) work are well researched and written at top-notch quality. A++++

A Comprehensive Overview of the Emerald Isle,

This review is from: The Everything Travel Guide to Ireland: From Dublin to Galway and Cork to Donegal - a complete guide to the Emerald Isle (Everything (History & Travel)) (Paperback)
We purchased "The Everything Travel Guide to Ireland" for our summer 2010 family getaway. The book does a nice job at covering Ireland's hot spots and also off-the beaten-path locations. The book is not as extensive as other, heavier guidebooks. What it offers is sufficient in both description and does list some very nice B&Bs, hotels, and even castles. The hints given as sidebars throughout the book also help us out with traveling in each region. The itineraries are superb and the history, driving, and travel to and from information was right on. Purchase this book if you like to explore on your own with some guidance. I much prefer it to more well-known guide books, which we also took along. I find that the others simply weigh their books down with too much opinion and not enough straight-forward, helpful information. The Everything Series lives up to its quality once again.

My wife and I purchased this book before our trip to Ireland. We wanted something less "thick and involved" than Lonely Planet, but still a book that would offer some hidden gems. This one did the trick! From Dublin to Galway, we visited some less-visited places that the authors revealed. I personally enjoyed the walks outlined and the hotels (especially the bed and breakfasts, B&Bs) mentioned were outstanding. "The Everything Travel Guide to Ireland" is an outstanding travel guide that will be viable for years to come.

Fantastic travel guide for Ireland!,
This review is from: The Everything Travel Guide to Ireland: From Dublin to Galway and Cork to Donegal - a complete guide to the Emerald Isle (Everything (History & Travel)) (Paperback)
This book is fantastic! My family and I just took a 2 week vacation to Ireland and this travel guide was absolutely indispensable. Easy to read, great itineraries, and wonderful walking suggestions and routes. The book is a lot of fun to read and has some humorous bits in it too, unlike a lot of dry guidebooks. I would recommend this to anyone heading over to the Emerald Isle who wants to enjoy all that Ireland has to offer, from the more well-known tourist sites to the hidden gems.

Lightweight, to put it mildly. I have liked this series on some topics, I feel it really does not cover nearly all it should and I regret the purchase.
