5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for intermediates and professionals
Actually I've been reading this book for 2 weeks, and I'm really surprised with its contents. A concise, well-oriented book, it teaches you every aspect of web development, using Microsoft technology ( IIS, VBScript, ActiveX, WINCGI and so on ) Warning: you will enjoy this book only if you have intermediate to advanced skills in VB5, and it also needs familiarity with...

3.0 out of 5 stars Written and edited by functional illiterates
This book has been written and edited by functional illiterates who have trouble with tense, number, etc. Many of the references to figures, etc. are incorrect. Several of the C language examples are incorrect. On the other hand it has information I've not been able to find anywhere else.

By far, one of the most complete books about web development. Next time I tell you about the CDROM, cause I have not seen it yet.

This review is from: Everything You Want And Need To Know About Web Development : Web Development With Visual Basic 5 (CD-Rom Included) (Paperback)
This is an excellent tutorial and reference for the development of web applications using Visual Basic. The author must be commended on both the thoroughness and depth of the content covered, and for using an array of examples, which clarify difficult or complex topics. The companion CD is a great reference tool in that it has a majority of the source code used in the book, and also explains several topics in more detail- such as FTP sites and POP3 servers. The combination of both the book and CD will allow even a novice or beginner web developer to create professional looking and functional web sites and applications.
