This book was written in a similar vein of the Dummies or Idiots book, similar lots of white space, cartoons and voluminous detail with (hooray!) the lack of an insulting title.

Author Pamela Rice Hahn covers tons of details about writing for everyday and beyond - especially beneficial were the letter writing sections - excellent advice, for example, on the ever challenging sympathy letters complete with simple, easy to apply examples. She also discusses editing and using spellchecking and emails.

The section on writing complaint letters and dispute letters was also excellent and the Grantwriting Section was especially complete (very thorough portion on Persuasive Writing Techniques which surprised me given there was so little writing about Marketing and Persuasion in the Business Writing Section which I saw as a weaker part of the volume.

The appendixes were well thought out with Appendix A including many resources for the reader and Appendix B sharing formats for the writing mentioned in the text itself.

This book is quite helpful, even for those who are practiced writers, simply for the formats and suggestions across the board so that one could be familiar in a moments notice with such a variety of writing styles and techniques.

And I am so grateful the title doesn't include anything self-deprecating.

Pamela Rice Kahn's, "The Everything Writing Well Book" covers everything from, writing a business proposal, to sending hand-written thank you notes. I am a novelist/screenwriter, and I keep it next to my computer at all times.

I ordered Pamela's book because I suffer from mild dyslexia, sometimes the z's and s's appear backwards, I often struggle with sentence structure, and I have always had a thing with comma's. This book is great for helping me to catch any errors that might have occured, and correct them before submitting my work.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has ever written, or will write anything. Writing is a craft that can always be improved upon, even if you're a seasoned pro.

In closing, I have to compliment Amazon! I have always had a wonderful experience when ordering something, whether it is from a private seller, or Amazon directly, my experiences have always been positive. I receive my products in great condition, and in a timely manner.
