Customer Reviews

It is one of those books that you just can't put down after reading just a few pages.

I also liked how the author included her own perspectives on relevant topics such as alcoholism, religion, marriage, and friendships in the novel as well.

The sex scenes were really good, unlike ones that I've read before --- not that I've read that many!

I enjoyed this book immensely. At first I enjoyed it because it was fun: humorous and sexy. However, as the story progressed, the two main characters grapple with the dilemma of duty versus desire. The characters and their struggles are recognizable and their situations feel real. I raced through the book because I was so sympathetic toward the protagonists that I could not bear to postpone learning of the resolution.

Ms. Swinger masterfully depicts the loneliness of the struggle between desire and duty.

I highly recommend this book. It is fun and sexy, but there is soul to it as well.

Well I thought the book was ridiculous. So dumb that one of main characters dies, but comes back to life. If the guy died there would have been a funeral. For him to miracluously show up 10 years later is far fetched. And the author referring to his "dragon" made me barf. Glad to have finished trudging through this book. I deleted it immediately from my tablet. On to better stories.

Swinger brings an almost elegant read to us all with her latest creation in "... with Wine". I am finding it more and more difficult to set her books down as each of her works keep my eyes fixed to the page until the very last one. I cant wait for the next one! Do yourself a favor and grab this book, if you like it half as much as I have you will be glad you did!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I started it on a car trip. When I was almost finished, I couldn't put it down - it was about 1 a.m. and my husband thought I was crazy. I told him I had to see how it was all going to work out. I loved the medical setting. I thought it was so interesting getting a window into that world. There are some great instructions on how to help with your love life, too! The title is what caught my interest, and the book immediately drew me in. Pick it up for a great summer read- I am going to download it to my Kindle, too - that way I can easily refer back to all of the good parts!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I am not usually a reader of romance novels. However, this one held my interest throughout the entire story. It had so many interesting twists and turns, and the characters were very well developed. I also liked how the author included her own perspectives on relevant topics such as alcoholism, religion, marriage, and friendships in the novel as well. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to read a more thought provoking, engaging romance novel.

I give it 3 stars because, while no where near fine literature, it is a well- crafted tale with happiness, sorrow, unrequited love, and a happy ending. It also makes a decent attempt at probing human unhappiness caused by self doubt, and the wounds inflicted on us by our childhood experiences and influences: parents, religious upbringing, divorce, death, etc. -- all the big stuff. The book doesn't offer anything new, but does offer us another chance to examine our own circumstances and the choices we make as adults, and to connect with the human experience.

I heard the wives in the neighborhood talk about this book so thought I'd check it out. Even as a guy, I found the story and content to be interesting. the ladies talk about the book as a 'how-to' book and it's sort of like the Kama Sutra with a great story line. My wife is glad that I read it.
