5.0 out of 5 stars Who would have thought she could actually impress me?
Okay. First things first. I have despised all of Britney Spear's music until this single. I listened to the remixes and was just blown away. This is the first Britney song I actually like. The Scumfrog Remix is my favorite mix on here. It's nice to actually be impressed by an artist I thought I could never take seriously. She finally did it. She finally impressed me. Who...

3.0 out of 5 stars good song
I don't even like britney spears but I have to give it to her for putting out such an amazing piano ballad. The piano hook is catchy and the melody is beautiful. Her voice isn't so bad on this track like her other songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Britney possessed by Kate Bush, June 22, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Everytime Pt.1 (Audio CD)
Time and space must have inverted or something. I'm flipping stations in my car and land on what sounds like a new Kate Bush song: "...Everytime I try to fly I fall/without my wings I feel so small/I guess I need you baby..." The same quiet hush to the voice, the oddball visuals of a little wingless ball of insecurity...that's totally Kate's art-rock style, right? I knew it wouldn't really be Kate Bush since she's retired (and wouldn't sing "baby") but, I check the net and am STUNNED to find it is the new Britney Spears single. And further surprised that the cover art, of Britney in a flower, seems to be intended to create a Buddhist/lotus flower vibe. Anyway, I - a person who wouldn't watch one of these lame lip synch dancers if you paid me - am about to own a Britney Spears single. Weird. Weird weird weird. Maybe Kate wrote it or something....

5.0 out of 5 stars Britney Has Done It..., June 27, 2004
This review is from: Everytime Pt.1 (Audio CD)
Ive always been a Britney fan and 1st time heard this song she performed it live on SNL. She sang it so beautifully. Then when the album came out I read that she wrote it and also heard it was from 2 1/2 years ago. Britney also did some of the piano arrangement. This is an amazing song and an even better video. The 3rd single from In The Zone. It debuted at #1 in the UK & is still climbing the US charts reaching #15 this week. Britney you are a great writer & have shown a lot of people that you are a true artist & performer with this song. I love you!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ballad of Her Career....Hands Down, June 3, 2004
By
This review is from: Everytime Pt.1 (Audio CD)
Every diva has a signature ballad. Whitney has "I Will Always Love You", Mariah has "Hero", Celine has "My Heart Will Go On", etc. Ok, vocally it's a blasphemy to put Britney with these incredible talents, but Britney is a diva in her own right and has finally released a signature ballad with "Everytime." It's a beautifully simple track which fits her weak vocals, and works wonderfully. Along with "Toxic", "Everytime" has helped return Britney to the radio waves *where she really hasn't been since late 2000.* Say what you want about Britney, but this song is pure pop ear candy and is refreshing to hear amongst the hip hop dominated radio.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Emotional Ballad From Britney, July 2, 2004
By
This review is from: Everytime Pt.1 (Audio CD)
"Everytime" is Britney Spears's third single from her latest album "In the Zone". When she originally released the album, many listeners were amazed with how much she's grown as a person, expecially with her two previous single releases "Me Against the Music" (with Madonna) and "Toxic". Her music is much more amazing than her previous albums. The newly-mastered dance beats continue to keep listeners on their feet. Her persona is much more personal and more blunt than before. Her sexuality is expressed much more, therefore earning tremendous respect from millions. This is the Britney, the woman, not the girl.

Despite the dance theme throughout the album, Britney Spears found room to record two ballads, one of them being "Everytime". This resulted as one of the best ballads of her career, which she wrote. Listeners had no clue she could sing so emotionally and keep them captivated to every word. The personal lyrics express loneliness and yearning beautifully. This may be the most personal song in her career. These sung words are accompanied and blend wonderfully with the piano. It becomes a beautiful addition to this emotional song. The three remixes are great for listening, which offer different prospectives to this song.

"Everytime" is a great single for Britney Spears fans. Such musical quality is sure to please listeners. Those wanting more should also buy her album "In the Zone". Such combination makes a great listening experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars From a britney hater, June 21, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Everytime Pt.1 (Audio CD)
First of all, I'm a big big Linkin Park fan. The biggest one ever. And I'll probably be kicked out of the linkin park fan base for giving a britney song five stars.
This song is one of the best ballads I've heard in the entire sixteen years of my life. I still can't believe she sang this one. The lyrics are not bad (better than the not girl not woman thingy) and her voice is bad. But it suits this song. I can't imagine Christina or Jessica singing this. It's a haunting tune and her tearful unpowerful voice actually fits the song perfectly. The mixes are decent too. Highly recommended for anyone with a good taste in music. This is her first good single.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beyond her years..., June 17, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Everytime Pt.1 (Audio CD)
Who would've thought that an artist such as Britney Spears with a sexual reputation could make a song like this. I looked up information on the song, mostly from the album insert and Britney's interviews and found out that the piano arrangement was made by Britney, or at least played by her and the majority of the song was written by her. Britney shows great maturity beyond her years in this song. This is the Britney I like.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very soft heartfelt ballad that touches hearts, June 14, 2004

This review is from: Everytime Pt.1 (Audio CD)
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard this song...it is extremely heartfelt and it plays softly through you ears. The piano is soothing and the harp just adds that much more to it as well as the strings heard in the background...This song is irresistably haunting and sounds so innnocent don't be surprised if you feel a tear coming on...it is so amazing and incredible to know that Britney herself wrote this whole song and created the piano portion of it too. This and my immortal by evanescence are permanently my top fav. songs ever...I have 'never' gotten tired of hearing this song, it just doesn't get annoying, and i love that...I hope Ms. Spears has more of these delecious treats on her next album, because this song has found a place in many hearts...

I suggest buying the cd In The Zone because it has some great quality sounds on there too, and another wonderful ballad called "Shadow"..I love this single too...the remixes are the icing the cake, so to say...Go out and buy this one and in the zone, they are definently worth the money :)
