I purchased this item to give as a gift since my friend was going on a European cruise. I thought it would be a useful gift. When I received it the yearly calendars in the book were dated 1996, 1997, and 1998. I couldn't give this to my friend...the calendars would have been no use to her and she would have thought why would she give me such an outdated item. When I...

5.0 out of 5 stars Travel Journal of Choice, May 9, 2003

This review is from: Everywoman's Travel Journal (Diary)
I have used the "Everywoman's Travel Journal"
for seven European trips, and have found it
exceptionally useful. As other reviewers have
mentioned, it contains pages to record
traveling expenses, film notes, an address
section, maps, calendar (missing in newer
editions), and space to record your complete
itinerary.

One thing I especially like is the fact that
the spine doesn't crack, and the pages do not
fall out, even with rough handling. There is
a clear plastic dustjacket, with space to store
postcards, tickets, and the like. The journal
is compact, and fits easily into a purse or
pocket. There are plenty of pages to record
extensive daily notes.

Of all of the Travel Journals I have seen or bought,
this one is my favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars A journaling traveler, June 17, 2002

I came upon this journal several years ago and have purchased one to complete with every subsequent trip. I now possess a mini-library of my travels. The journal contains outstanding tips on packing, foreign customs relating to women, and time/temperature conversion. Address book, travelers checque and film logs, and a designated space for copies of passport/ID/travel documents make this a complete, handy package that makes this a travel-must for me. The only downside is that, not having been updated recently, some of the reference data is out-dated. I also miss the calendars that were a handy part of the first edition. Despite this, it's still a fantastic way to document your travels.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have travel journal, September 24, 2005
This review is from: Everywoman's Travel Journal (Diary)
This is my second journal like this and it is wonderful. It is the perfect size for my purse and easy to write in while traveling. I especially love the cover that protects it from dirt and stains. It has a place inside the cover front and back to keep extra receipts and postcards in while traveling. It is a must for anyone who wants to keep a record of their travel adventures.

I purchased this journal for my first trip abroad ten years ago, and have purchased one for each of my trips since. It's size makes it easy to carry in a day bag or carry-on luggage. Space is provided for phone numbers, addresses and e-mail addresses. Credit card numbers, packing list, expense lists, etc are all included. This journal is a must for all travelers!

When I inquired to the store why they would even sell an item that was so outdated they said I should have read the entire selling page....copyright 1996. I never realized there would be calendars in it from 14 years ago. I was also blindsided by all of the great reviews. How could the other reviewers rave about a book that is so outdated. Make sure the copyright is current before purchasing this item (especially if you are giving it as a gift).

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Travel Journal, December 14, 2007

I have used the Everywoman's Travel Journal on trips all over the world. The wide lines inside the journal along with the plastic cover that holds receipts, copies of your insurance papers, & itineraries make it perfect for travel.
