Keti Garbi and her chosen songwriter at the time of this 1997 recording, Phivos, could not have chosen a better song to title this album with than "Sensitivities." Nearly every song on it is a joy and a delicacy. Keti chooses to stick with traditional Greek instruments on most of the songs -- which for me gives the songs a great deal of charm.

Following is a list of the tracks:

1. Ierosilia - (Sacrilege) Garbi starts the CD with one her greatest hits. Her voice has never been more evocative and downright sultry. This song is a perfect example of the kind of laika style which made Keti such an admired star in Greece.

2. Mou leipeis - (I miss you) Uptempo, yet with minor chords and beautiful bazouki accompaniment. Another great song. The ending, with drums fading out, is a stroke of production brilliance.

3. Evaisthiseis - (Sensitivies) The song lives up to its title. Quiet, subdued main verses given way to a sensuous chorus.

4. Triferotita - (Tenderness) A torch song: Plaintive, sad and extremely beautiful.

5. I patrida mou - (My native land) Keti is joined by Antonis Vardis for a song of love to their Greek homeland.

6. Kivotos - (The Ark) One of my favorite Garbi-Phivos tunes. An interesting combination of bazoukis and electronic instruments and percussion. I just love how this song beautifully winds its way through its not-so-simple rhythmic pattern.

7. Allo esu ki allo ego - Another great mix of Greek and electronic instruments. This is not a complaint, but the main verses and chorus appear to be so disjointed, it makes me wonder if Phivos was trying to merge two different song ideas. Not the best song on the CD, but an interesting break.

8. Apozimiosi - ("Amends") Hearing this song has been one of the joys of my life. Absolutely terrific.

9. Ola sta katalogizo - This song has a bit of a cloying quality, not unlike eating raisins. It's OK up to a point, but it's strictly one of those "filler" songs.

10. Fougaro - ("Chimney") A very pretty, breezy laika song.

11. Apologisou - ("Apologies") This song has a quality a bit like Mary Hopkins' "Those Were The Days," until the chorus, which is heart-rending. If not for Track 8, this might be the best song on the CD.

12. Asimfonia xaraktiron - Keti closes the CD with a very nice duet with Adonis Remos.

Many of the above songs can also be found on Keti's double CD of greatest hits, "To Kati" ("That Something").
