5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to stomach.
This book isn't hard to stomach because of bad writing style or anything in that vein. It is hard to stomach because it describes, in detail, all the extremely incriminating evidence WHICH POINTED TO NO ONE BUT SIMPSON that was found by the detectives in this case and the Los Angeles Police Department which, inexplicably, was not raised by the prosecutors EVEN ONCE...

3.0 out of 5 stars Item only found online. Likely never used, but quite musty smelling.
Vendor should store items properly and not list as "brand new, never used". Book smells very musty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to stomach., August 7, 2000
This review is from: Evidence Dismissed (Paperback)
This book isn't hard to stomach because of bad writing style or anything in that vein. It is hard to stomach because it describes, in detail, all the extremely incriminating evidence WHICH POINTED TO NO ONE BUT SIMPSON that was found by the detectives in this case and the Los Angeles Police Department which, inexplicably, was not raised by the prosecutors EVEN ONCE during the trial. This book proves Simpson's guilt beyond ALL doubt, showing that had ALL this evidence been displayed before the jury in the criminal joke (it's an insult to courtrooms and the hallways of justice throughout this world to call it a trial) then Simpson would have undoubtedly been convicted. But most of all, "Evidence Dismissed," like Vincent Bugliosi's "Outrage" proves once and for all that the TRUE blame for the loss of this case can be laid at the feet of the prosecution.

4.0 out of 5 stars The title says it all., January 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Evidence Dismissed (Paperback)
A believable step by step account of what really happened during the Simpson investigation and trial including what went on behind the scenes. Agonizing to read if you believe O.J. did it because of all the incriminating evidence Marcia Clark incredibly chose not to use. After reading this I'm more convinced than ever, the first jury blew it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, March 7, 2002
This review is from: Evidence Dismissed (Paperback)
What an outrage....if this case intrigued you, then I suggest you read this book and read the "evidence dismissed". Well written, and fast paced, I couldn't put the book down. It really puts a cast of doubt on the justice system. And to know this man is still out there walking around free, while two people are not, is unbelievable. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves true crime!

5.0 out of 5 stars revealing and reveting, March 29, 2000
This review is from: Evidence Dismissed (Paperback)
A step-by-step approach to finding a killer, a mountain of evidense, a lot the jury did not know. But basically the so-called jury did not believe in Science.

4.0 out of 5 stars The book that should have been read to the criminal jury, March 3, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Evidence Dismissed (Hardcover)
While there is lots of self-serving, cover-our-ass, if-anybody screwed-up-it-wasn't-us stuff in this book, it is still a must read for anyone interested in the trial of the century. Learn how big a hurry Marcia Clark was to get the case only to ignore some of the most telling evidence. No doubt Clark's book will lay the blame at someone elses perverbial briefcase...I will never know. This is the last of the genre for me. Read it for the cops view and American Tragedy for the Defense angle...then read something worthwhile.

This review is from: Evidence Dismissed (Hardcover)
If you ever had any doubt on 'whodunit' you won't after reading this one. Dets. Lange and Vanatter describe, in detail, from the time of their wakeup calls on that fateful day through the criminal trial the whos, whats, wheres, and whys, that you probably haven't heard before even if you were an avid trial follower! Don't miss it

4.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating look @ how police collected evidence against O J, February 16, 1997
By A Customer
The reader is led through the collection of evidence against O.J. Simpson beginning when the authors were first called to investigate the case. Common misconceptions about the conduct of the L.A.P.D. are cleared up. The mistakes that were made by the detectives are dealt with frankly and honestly. This book is well written and is objective as possible given that it was written by persons so close to the case

4.0 out of 5 stars The Homicide investigators sequence of events, April 11, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Evidence Dismissed (Hardcover)
Investigators Vannatter and Lang sequence the events of a double homicide investigation. Feeling that much evidence was dismissed or not provided for the jury, they provide a pragmatic experience for the complexities of Detective work

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book on Simpson crime/ prosecution, May 18, 2011
By
Frank (Stockton CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Evidence Dismissed (Hardcover)
This is a great book for anyone interested in the Simpson crime and prosecution. It explains some of the apparent lapses in the prosecution, and gives reasons for what seemed nonsensical at the time -- e.g. bringing OJ's blood sample TO the crime site, making it easy for the defense to infer planting the blood evidence, and details Fuhrman's role in the investigation and trial.
It also explains how some poor choices by Marcia Clark made the trial loss much more likely.
