4.0 out of 5 stars so utterly STUPID that it's GREAT!!!!
"Evil Alien Conquerors" has gotten a lot of bad reviews from people who really don't get it... it was MEANT TO BE BAD. This movie is so utterly STUPID that you have to laugh at it - a LOT. Admittedly the first part of the movie drags some, but by the end, my entire family was laughing. I especially liked Kroeker making the walking noises everywhere he went, once...

3.0 out of 5 stars Seriously underrated
Yes...Evil Alien Conquerers is straight to video, full of stupid gags that mostly involve people yelling very loudly, and features an uncredited Tori Spelling in a minor role...but it is actually very funny. With veteran comedians all over the place, and some of the silliest and most unexpected stunts and throwaway lines, this film simply made me laugh for 86 minutes...

Even if this movie is not your style, the theme song alone is worth the cost of a movie rental. We just finished watching "Evil Alien Conquerors" for the second time, and my children are running around the house singing the theme song, and pretending to be Kroeker.

5.0 out of 5 stars I laughed 'til it hurt, March 9, 2004

I can't remember the last time I laughed so long and so hard. At times, I was laughing so hard that I couldn't breathe. The rest of the time, I was merely laughing constantly.

This is a wacky, low-budget, straight-to-video film. However, it has good production values, and a few well known actors. And it succeeds where many similar films have failed. Mainly, it doesn't take itself seriously, and thus all cheesiness is purposely used for comedic effect, rather than being an effect of bad writing/acting. I especially liked how they didn't resort to the painful fish-out-of water theme that is common in these types of films; they didn't have any scenes where the aliens failed to comprehend the purpose of some unfamiliar device, and embarassed themselves by doing something inappropriate with it.

However, I realize that the type of humor in this movie won't appeal to everyone, so here's a simple litmus test. If you like wacky, off the wall humor such as:
- Monty Python
- Clerks: The Animated Series
- Invader Zim
- Excel Saga
- Steve Odekirk's Thumb parodies, such as Thumb Wars
Then you will like Evil Alien Conquerors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Imbued with Kabijjian Magnificence, Baby!, May 4, 2004

Best low budget comedy in years. Cleverly immature and riddled with great one-liners and sight gags. Pay no heed to the naysayers...this probably isn't their style of movie anyway. As a testament to the lowbrow quality of this movie, Tori Spelling (Jan the Unibrow) refused to appear in the credits. That makes it a keeper in my book. At the very least, rent this movie and behold the Kabijjian magnificence for yourself.

Enthuse for Rabirr!

4.0 out of 5 stars Successful schlock!, February 28, 2004

This is a low-budget, campy, dumb comedy that WORKS. Unlike many higher-profile TV-comedian vehicles lately, this one is actually funny - fall-over funny in places. Sure, there are gags that don't work, but there are more that do, sprinkled liberally throughout the film. There are things you see coming miles away that are STILL funny, and a couple twists I didn't see coming at all. The character development even works - the story is solid (predictable, but that goes with the territory).
A true gem - in the parking lot of the same ballpark as "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".

4.0 out of 5 stars Dumb, March 23, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Evil Alien Conquerors (DVD)
This movie is the dumbest movie since Dumb and Dumber. Written by the same guy who did the Bill And Ted movies (another set of dumb movies!); this is not the magnum opus of dumbness but it is so beautifully dumb! And dumbly acted I might add.

(Dumb means hilarious)

This is the best movie ever made simply for the reason that it is one of the worst. I'm a HUGE fan of campy, cheesy movies, so long as the intention of the movie is to be campy and cheesy. This one did not dissapoint. The entire movie is just so ridiculous and over the top it's hard not to enjoy it, especially when Croaker is brought into the movie. Oh such a wonderful movie this is!

Just think "Coneheads" plus a great deal of "Dude,Where's My Car" and many roles that Jack Black could have easily walked into, and that's this film. The DVD looks to only be full-screen, with no extras, and that's only one of the few minor drawbacks. Who would pass up a deal like this? Only an a**hole!

5.0 out of 5 stars IMO Cult CLassic!, August 7, 2010
By
This review is from: Evil Alien Conquerors (DVD)
This is a movie I randomly picked up at a garage sale. I fell in love with it, its a classic to me. I show it to all my friends, its so bad its AMAZING!!! If your going into this expecting some smash blockbuster hit, you will be severely let down. But, if you love movies for the sake of their existence, or are particularly fond of the "cult" genre. I believe this is a must have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, April 27, 2007

For this movie, the small budget is a blessing; just like for the original Clerks and the first two Monty Python movies. No one tried to hide the miniscule budget, they just do their best with what they have: pure comedy material. Some of the jokes are so bad and so original that you will lose your breath laughing. The theme song is priceless.

The plot is self-explanatory. Two guys are sent to Earth to conquer it in a few days. They have swords, and the entire human population to decapitate.

If you want to "experience art" (said with an arrogant and better-than-thou tone), avoid this movie. If you want to double over in laughter, get it.

Also, you can hear the theme song on the Myspace page of the band that created it, Nerf Herder (you will need to skip down the playlist a bit). If you have seen the movie, the song makes perfect sense.
