This game is awsome! You get to have all the great jokes from Bruce Campbell as well as getting several hours of hacking through deadites with a chainsaw and your Boomstick. You even get more atachments for your arm in the game as well as a few more guns. If your worried about it only being as good as the previous two games then dont worry, I played those and this beats them by far. Good grafics and gameplay. Much faster than the previous games. If you cant handle body parts flying all over the room then stay away from this game but if you love the Evil Dead movies or are a fan of Bruce Campbell then buy this game right now. Its very good and very addicting.

Warning for those that are not that good at key boarding (Like Me), you need an depth knowledge of your key board to play this game well. With that said, this is a wonderful game to play, levels change often and each one is unique. You will not get bored with this one, just as you're thinking (Man I'm getting tired of walking down these hallways) you move into the graveyard, the mines, the docks, the swamp, the town, and the Temple. Scenery's are lush and full of details you want in a good game, you can spend a lot of time just checking things out and looking around for life and evil energy orbs.
The automatic cinematic's are great and extremely engaging and at times very funny, Bruce Campbell's quick wit and funny banter with his new side kick Sam (Kick being the magic word) keeps you interested and wanting more. My biggest problems with this game were the multiple key strokes needed for special moves and finishing moves. I had to play blood and guts style, since I really, really suck at muli-key stroking. The other problem with the game is, most of the game you can use your mouse to control movement, but there are places that force you to change to using the (W,S,A,D keys for direction and the up, down, left, right keys to look and aim) This makes it very hard to use the other key combinations for fighting, special moves, and finishing moves. If you're good at keyboarding you will love the flow of this game and get through it just fine, if you suck at it like I do, be ready for hard battles and some frustration. Hint; remember where the save points are and save often after each hard fight so you don't have to repeat several hard fights. I would have given this game a five star score but the key boarding and changes needed in areas and fights make it hard to play. On a final note, the extras are great; the interview with Bruce is opened if you can find the hidden extra pages, worth collecting if you want to see the entire interview and scene paintings.

Having just watched Evil Dead, Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness I decided to look up "Evil Dead" on IMDB, and found this gem.
Great storyline (almost Doom3-esque) decent gfx (which play smooth on anything faster than an Atari 5200) and awesome gameplay. Did I mention it stars Bruce "Ashly" Campbell? The only one-handed one-man wrecking crew with his trusty boomstick, chainsaw and a new Deadite friend named Sam who enjoys getting kicked around, literally. Along with a few new items you pick up along the way. If you loved the Evil Dead series, buy this today. I mean c'mon for the price how can you lose? If you love having fun and killing things, buy this today. If you have $8 hiding somewhere (check those sofa cushions), buy this today.

Evil Dead 3: Regeneration - Honest Review,

I admit it, I love the classic franchise that is Evil Dead. I am also a lover of Bruce Campbell's work in general. Furthermore, I like video games. This game contains voice acting done by Bruce Campbell. These things alone, even individually, will sell something to me. I'm delighted with the game so far. At first, it took me a minute to figure out that my gamepad was asleep (it's wireless and does that) but once I got that hammered out I noticed I literally didn't have to adjust much to get my Logitech to work. In fact, all the things I like about PC games using gamepads are present. I get force feedback. I can manipulate the menus of the game with the pad. The physics engine seems good, the play control is excellent and the story seems to be progressing nicely. I have found it entertaining to listen to conversations Sam, (Ash's half deadite side kick) initiates at times, although it distracts for a few moments, the immediate solution of puzzles. As for the graphical options, the game looks great on my system at the settings I can choose and I find the blur effect option to be smashing . All in all, I'm happy with this game and I've only progressed into the second stage now before commenting on it.

It was very short, which makes the player very frustrated and the buyer downright angry. Ash & Sam are really well detailed but most everthing else is pretty poor, graphicly. The cinematics are very well done, which is pleasing. I don't recall any interesting music. The "Secrets", like collecting Necronomicon pages etc, hearing Bruce Campbell talk was useless information that didn't last long enough. After a while in the game you find you are using the classic rocket and harpoon guns just to keep going. This is a real dissapointment.

I don't know what these other guys have been smoking, but this game is NOT good. In fact; it stinks.
Now, mind, you, I'm a HUGE fan of the Evil Dead movies. I even sport an Ash tattoo on my forearm. And the more shoddy product like this that gets released, the more I want to shave it off with a cheese grater. It starts out promising enough. Ashley, our hero from the films, is locked in an insane asylum when things go to hell, again. After about 20 minutes of runnin' and gunnin' I quickly realize that this is about it. It's not getting any better or less repetative. Ok, fine. I can live with that. I'll finish it out and see what happens. I'll tell you what happens, it gets really annoying. Once you pick up this little, demonic midget character who follows you around, supposedly helping you by endlessly spewing the same irritating sayings over and over and over and over...... you get the idea. Once I realized I couldn't finish this trip to the proverbial video game dentist's office without getting seriously innhebriated and turning off the sound, I pulled it out and took it to EB games and traded it in towards a copy of Resident Evil 4. Ahhhh.... Now that's a horror game with bite! This one you should leave on the shelf next to your 12 different versions of Army of Darkness on DVD and your Evil Dead shotglasses. Definitely NOT groovy!

If it were playable or there were patches for it. I can only play so far until I just fall through the floor repeatedly. There is no fix and no way around it that I have found. I was VERY disappointed.

NICE GRAPHICS,EASY CONTROLS.ASH IS ALWAYS GOOD FOR SOME LAUGHS!AND ITS NICE TO HAVE SAM TO KICK AROUND TO GET YOU OUT OF A BAD MOOD.MINOR PROBLEMS AFTER INSTALL, KEY BOARD ISSUES. BUT THERES A PATCH THAT FIXES IT UP FINE.I RECOMEND IT TO ANY ONE WHO'S PLAYED PREVIOUS EVIL DEAD GAMES AND ANY ONE WHO HAS'NT.

The most marvelous game I have ever played in my whole entire life! Okay, so I'm a little teensy bit on the biased side, but still. I've forced it off on uber-gamer friends of mine, and they agree with me. The gaming platform is great, and once I re-oriented the key controls to something I was more familiar with, it became very easy to control. Basically, if you haven't seen 'The Evil Dead," or even better "Evil Dead II" and "Army of Darkness," this game will still be fun, but will make very little sense. Go, rent said movies, come back, buy this game. Also, if you have warm, fuzzy spots in your heart for Bruce Campbell and/or Ted Raimi, you will likely love this game, no matter what. Bascially, Ash, the "hero" from the Evil Dead series, has been placed into the Sunny Meadows Sanitarium for killing all his friends on a camping trip (it's okay though, they went bad). A great evil from the Necronomicon (Book of the Dead) has been reawakened, and the nasty doctor at the nut house is doing experiments with it; never good. Ash must break out of the Asylum, don his trusty Boomstick (sawed off Remmington shotgun) and chainsaw, and send the summoned hordes of the undead back where they came from. The action is pretty consistent throughout, and the gore level is on par with, say, Evil Dead II. Ash's sidekick, Sam, a deadite with a soul (experiment gone bad), aids in witty banter and also makes a great projectile. But hey, he's Ted Raimi, so don't treat him too badly. ;) The plot was consistently engaging, and the graphics are good. If the ending leaves a little something to be desired, so be it. My only true complaint about this game is that the targeting control for the PC version is tragically lousy. This is really only a problem with flying enemies and the final boss, and is not enough to detract from overall enjoyment, but if you have a short fuse, be warned...it'll drive you crazy sometimes. Again, since I loved the movie series, and the two main voice actors, I think the replayability is great, especially since violencing the undead is a great way to work out college paper-writing stress. The plot is static, though, so the story line won't change each time you play. On the other hand, you could challenge yourself by, say, trying to pick up all the extras, or by not picking up the life/mana bar upgrades. Basically, it's fun, and things explode, and Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi do what they do best. Go buy it. Really.

Before purchasing Evil Dead 3: Regeneration, I hadn't bought or played a PC game in a while. As a fan of the movies, when I saw the game advertised I bought it immediately. Needless to say I was not disappointed! Killing Deadites is a blast. The game is challenging, but not impossible. I made my way through it without looking up any tips or tricks. Not only is all of the killing fun, but the game is filled with humor. I played it non-stop until I finished it -- and then went back for more....
