5.0 out of 5 stars Rare Thrash Metal Classic available on CD!!, October 9, 2005

For whatever reason Canada's RAZOR were never as well known as other bands from their time (mid 80's) such as KREATOR, SODOM, DESTRUCTION & POSSESSED. Evil Invaders is a classic gem that has been overlooked for too long. This CD has the harsh aggression of early SODOM mixed with the heavy feeling of POSSESSED. Every track on this CD is brilliant. For those of you who have heard HYPOCRISY cover the title track on their "Final Chapter" release will be pleasantly surprised to hear the original in all it's glory. Every time I listen to this CD it takes me back to the glory days of THRASH music. If you have never heard RAZOR than I highly suggest starting with this CD as you will not regret it! I wish the original line up would reform and tour with EXODUS! You must own this CD!!

Great music. The band hails from Guelph Ontario Canada. If you like agressive hard thrash metal give this CD a try. Heavy guitars and deep growling vocals.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome thrash!, April 17, 2010

Thrash metal at it's finest, Razor delivers!!!! This album is a pure winner from start to finish never letting up until it's over. Razor show what thrash metal should be and even school some of the big four on how to thrash properly. This album is amazing, I hope to see a new Razor album soon with re-issues of their entire catalog so metal fans can be once again blessed with easy access to this great, timeless music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good album from 1985, August 24, 2009

This album is from 1985. It's original sounding thrash metal. It's a very good album and I didn't expect it to be that good especially following Executioner's Song. Executioner's Song sounds like a faster and heavier wannabe Motorhead album and Evil Invaders is a thrash album. Dave Carlo is a guitar genius. I don't really care about the vocals but Stace McLaren fits the style pretty well. Those who say the real Razor is with Stace don't know what they're talking about. Dave Carlo is Razor so any lineup with Dave Carlo is the real Razor. I like Bob Reid's vocals better anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Gem From The Past!, January 21, 2009
This review is from: Evil Invaders (Audio CD)
I grew up in NYC in the 80s and remember seeing the video for the song "Ėvil Invaders" on this public access channel called U 68. I bought the vinyl, enjoyed the whole album then kinda forgot about it over the years. Recently, I remembered the song "Evil Invaders" and decided I'd give the whole album another spin. Wow! A raging adventure from start to finish that reminds me of a thrashier heavier Motorhead at times and just classic, balls-out speed metal at others. I wish the production was a little better but this disc still blisters and belongs in any serious metalheads' collection. Goes great with many of the other gems that came out in '85 like S.O.D. "Speak English Or Die", Overkill "Feel The Fire", Celtic Frost "To Mega Therion", Flotsam And Jetsam "Doomsday For The Deceiver"... you get the idea. If you're into classic thrash and have never heard this, do yourself a favor and discover (or, in my case, re-discover) this gem that has stood the test of time! Enjoy...

This review is from: Evil Invaders (Audio CD)
hey man, i got this cd a while ago, and it absolutely kicks. the vocals are ok, but drums, and guitars etc. are just pretty awesome. The title song Evil Invaders has probably the best intro i've ever heard so yea if you are a metalhead, GET IT.
