5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Thrashing Mayhem
Nothing but pure thrashing mayhem here. Mandatory for fans of retro thrash like Dekapitator and Municipal Waste. They have a hard and metallik sound, reminding of Dark Angel and Terribly Certainty era Kreator. Cover art by Ed Repka, who made all the klassic covers for Megadeth and Nuclear assault, back in the day.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good thrash
I remember seeing an ad for this cd and I thought "cool cover". I dont remember if I heard anything good about the cd but I still got it. I popped in the cd and laughed. The lead singer is not the greatest singer in the world and the music is pretty generic. In there booklet it reads "Thrash Metal's Future Warriors". I dont know about that. 4.0 out of 5 stars Total 80's Thrash worship., June 11, 2007
This review is from: Evil in the Night (Audio CD)
1. Ed Repka Cover.
2. Band photo collage.
3. Black leather jackets, tight jeans and hi-top sneakers.
4. Fast, heavy music focusing on tight riffs, sharp/fast solos and persistent and compulsive up-tempo drums.
5. Shouted/growled vocals.

In short, these guys are totally bowing the knee to the great Thrash bands of the 80's (check the extensive 'thanks' list to see who their influences are). If you are a new convert to good-old 80's thrash, or if, like me, you are a forty-something fan who was there when it all began, you could do a lot worse than to buy this album by Merciless Death. These guys are genuine, so, give them your support.

This review is from: Evil in the Night (Audio CD)
I went to a a music store one day and found a band called merciless death. very cool band. If you like really old thrash metal you will love this band. it brings back that great stuff you grew up with. fast heavy and great solos, more like slayer or death angel. Pick this up right away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thrash Metal on an epic scale!, September 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Evil in the Night [Vinyl] (Vinyl)
This vinyl is limited to 500 copies in Picture Lp, 300 in black, 100 in blue, and another 100 in red. With 1,000 altogether this is quite the treasure to own. My copy was the Picture Lp and this band is pure Thrash from their clothes to their music. All I have to say is get this on whatever format you can whether it is cd or vinyl or both. I would also HIGHLY recommend their second album which is just as epic on a scale of extreme hand-banging, moshing, thrash!

The Much Hate dedication is pretty funny to read. I played this on Media Player and they rated this half a star. Not a full one, a half of one. Tells you what Media Player thinks of them. Glad I got it? It might grow on me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Buy a singer, January 27, 2008
This review is from: Evil in the Night (Audio CD)
I'd like to listen to this album; I really would. But I keep turning it off after about 30 seconds of that awful voice. It's like listening to American Idol tryouts, and awkwardly laughing at how bad they are. Seriously... buy a singer, do only instrumentals, get possessed and develop a graveyard voice...something.

2.0 out of 5 stars does'nt do it.., September 10, 2008

I really tried to like this. Love the cover, the concept, the production, the sneakers, the song titles and the whole damn vibe...But why cant I ever get through this cd without turning it off in disgust. Each time I get a little further into it, but I always end up saying "ouch this is awful" and I have to take it off. I'm a guy who can listen to anything at all even the most extreme. But this stuff rubs me the wrong way,the sloppy execution is ok if you got good riffs instead of one cliche part after another and no feeling or power behind the vocals. Got to be the worst vocal performance out there. They got the right idea so I'll give 'em 2 stars for that. I will say no more because I dont like to bash any band out there....
