Christopher Pike is still the best ever!!!,
By "sler12" (Miami, Fl USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: EVIL THIRST: THE LAST VAMPIRE 5 (HARDCOVER) (Hardcover)
I started reading Christopher Pike books in the summer before i started 6th grade because I got them as hand me downs from a friend. I started off with Fall into Darkness and right now i have 25 of his books and still collecting and i love every single one of them and ive read them over and over. Last Vampire 5 was the rarest book of the series and it took me 4 months to find it! I got it thanx to Amazon for used yay lol I read the book and it was so gripping how everything balances off another and you know everything from the book before. Never read the last vampire series out of order that would totally mess them up read them 1-6 and you'll go crazy over them! Im a really crazy freak I'll admit it like when i see someone reading it ill immediately jump on it and tell the person stuff to get them interested into christopher pike. I dont even know if christopher pike is still writing or when his last book was but hes still my favorite author ever. Not only do I love his books but they have been helping me write a book of my own because i pretty much have always wanted to be a writer and my friends have told me I would be great for it and thanx to christopher pike i think Im going to chase that dream!

LOVED IT!,
By Kali Ka "J Kalika" (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Evil Thirst (The Last Vampire, No. 5) (Paperback)
In fact I LOVED the entire series! I think I read every book over at LEAST 4 times! I especially loved the character Kalika, loved the way he described her, loved her fathomlessness... I feel speechless right now, I don't even know what I say! That's how good it is... The book is religious, yet not so seriously so that you will punished if you do not agree or w/e, but simply, you'll be sucked so deep into the book you might even smart believing Sita's believes...

Magical,
By A Customer
This review is from: Evil Thirst (The Last Vampire, No. 5) (Paperback)
It is amazing how Mr.Pike express the magic and wonders of this mysterious universe, how the stars above relate closely to every human being, the powers of eternal love, wise people who knows more than anyone else would, the unexplainable truths about Kalika-all these wierd, mystical stuffs,I personally enjoy them very much. But I like the last few pages the best because it is written in such a way that it turns out very much like a movie scene. This entire episode is "progressive" and can keep you awake all night reading it.

A truly suspenceful and touching book.,

This review is from: Evil Thirst (The Last Vampire, No. 5) (Paperback)
The conflict between mother and daughter is completely gripping. The problem that is set before a favorite character Alisa and a new character Kalika. You really learn to hate Kalika although at the same time you love her. The more you hater the more you'll learn to love her. She's evil. She's passionate. She takes almost totally after her mother. It is one book you'll want to read again. Or just leave it after reading it once because you don't want to ruin the uniqueness of such writing. Read it. Love the characters. Hate them. Let the book carry you through emotions you never thought a book could give you.

Nothing Is As It Seems,

This review is from: Evil Thirst (The Last Vampire, No. 5) (Paperback)
Loved this book. This book sparked my favorite quote and motto. It is simply profound. The agony of fufilling one's purpose without outside thought interferring with one's ego, is hard! It's also a good read. Sita and Kalika are classic characters. My favorite book in the series.

I love the book-,

This review is from: Evil Thirst (Last Vampire, No 5) (Hardcover)
This book was great I never knew what was to happen next and better yet who would win the battle. I think Christopher Pike did a great job with this and his series. He made a book just how I like one not always rushing to an ending, he made it into another book. I suggest anyone who likes horror mixed with action to read this book and don't rush! My opinion to this book is a great one and a thank-you to Christopher Pike. Any one else who has read this book would probably agree to just about all my words. Now I tell about the characters and the plot of the story. The to main characters are Alisa, a five thousand year old vampire who is going against her very own daughter to stop her from getting her best friend's baby Christ. Alisa can't believe it herself that the world has now a new Missiah. So now Alisa tries best with her power to try and stop her daughter from killing the new Missiah. However, to do this Alisa gets help from a group to help shoot down Kalika. The great thing about that is that it is a war against to equally as powered beings one with knowledge and one with strength. I know that this book is the best chose for horror and fantasy because has some really gruesome stuff. This book is great for readers at an average reading level and you must read # 4 before #5. If you read this review please read the book, because it only gets better. I hope I gave enough information to be interested in this book

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Evil Thirst (The Last Vampire, No. 5) (Paperback)
Pike has a great way with words in making everything seem real. Sita is such an amazing character and the plot for the book is great too. This series has me wanting to read more of his books, and I can't wait until I read the last installment!

This review is from: Last Vampire V: Evil Thirst (Hardcover)
This book is a wonderful read! But, dont read it unless you read the first 4 Last Vampire Books. You just dont get whats happening if you read this one first. But, the end is sad.....almost had me crying. The end is also happy to! I realize Im probably just confusing you with all this: Its happy, but its sad stuff so ill just say this: read this book! or read the first four, then read this book! :) he-he

By A Customer
This review is from: Evil Thirst (The Last Vampire, No. 5) (Paperback)
Christopher Pike has out-done himself with Evil Thirst, the fifth installment of six in his Las Vampire series. He once again takes the reader and places him/her in the life of a five thousand year old vampire named Alisa! In Evil Thirst, Crhistopher Pikes draws his series towards the end. Number five continues the hunt to stop Alisa's powerful vampire daughter (book four) from having the ultimate control on Earth...Christ's blood! The second coming in the form of a newborn child. But is it Alisa's daughter who wants to destroy the baby...or someone else becoming just as close to Alisa? |
