4.0 out of 5 stars Good Band, Good CD
I bought this CD a couple of weeks ago and it has hardly left my CD player since. I got this because I was getting bored with my other stuff and was looking for something new. Mustard Plug did not disappoint me. I love ska but sometimes the vocals can be too grating or the music too harsh for my tastes - but this band has really made me happy. A few of my favorite...

3.0 out of 5 stars Mustard Plug - 'Evildoers Beware' (Hopeless Records)
Review number 40. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I thought I'd maybe check out some ska-punk - so I've heard it's called. The Grand Rapids band's second of five CD's. Tunes I was somewhat inspired by are "Never Be", "Mendosa", the slamming "Not Again", the swinging "Sadie May" and "Dressed Up". This is the sort of music I've seen turned up to '10' at college campus...

Mustard Plug did not disappoint me. I love ska but sometimes the vocals can be too grating or the music too harsh for my tastes - but this band has really made me happy. A few of my favorite tracks are You, Jerry, and Miss Michigan. I plan to buy Pray for Mojo in the near future. Add this to your collection today!

Fast, great horns and guitars. One of the best ska CD's I have ever heard. If you want a solid ska cd where every single song is good, you have to buy this.

I love this cd. I love ska and punk, but as a mother of two I like it to be not only clean but intelligent. Mustard Plug does not disappoint. Very smart. Very fun. Perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the top SKA bands!!, November 8, 2001

Mustard Plug, wierd name, awesome music!!!!! They should be ranked up there with the top-noch SKA bands like LEss Than Jake and Operation Ivy. They;ve got good songs all through this album, from the first to last song. My favorites are Miss Michigan, Box, and Beer(Song) This is a must get for a ska fan. It will top off your collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good listing, March 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Evildoers Beware (Audio CD)
Pretty good album it was one of the best of it's kind, ranking up there with `Less that Jake' and `Goldfinger'. Although there are some songs that are repetitive (e.g. Suburban Homesick Blues and Not Again) has some really good songs (e.g. Box and the Bear (Song)). This is not the best ska album but it is Mustard Plugs best. The use of the trumpets and trombones was quite good in Evil doers beware, combined with the vocal making it good listing. It could have be better if they had a couple more punk songs but other than that there is nothing that Mustard plug could have changed. This CD got boring after awhile but I still like it. I recommend this CD to any one who likes Ska or feels that they want something different.

4.0 out of 5 stars great third wave ska, August 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Evildoers Beware (Audio CD)
This album is way better than their last one, Big Daddy Multitude. Mustard Plug plays catchy and tight third wave ska/punk, with the emphasis on the ska. The only thing keeping this cd from five stars is its really short length (only twelve songs), and the fact that it kind of gets boring after you listen to it for a couple of weeks..
