Built for those with longer strides, the EVO 1 treadmill offers an extra-long running surface (20 x 62 inches) that's driven by a high torque, 3.0-HP motor. Other features include built-in wireless heart rate control and a large ultra clear LED console. The innovative motion control enables you to adjust the speed of the machine without ever touching a button--just wave or hold your hand over a light beam on the handrail to decrease or increase speed. This treadmill also offers the exclusive EVO Swing Arm shock absorption system, which is designed to minimize the impact from running and walking.

The exclusive EVO Swing Arm shock absorption system is designed to minimize the impact from running and walking. Users who have had a history of lower back pain, shin splints, or degenerative knees will benefit from Swing Arm technology lessens the impact on these areas of the body. Instead of the impact sending the shock through your body, the impact is dispersed through the swing-arm, deck, and frame of the treadmill, creating a smooth, fluid walk or run with greatly reduced impact.

The custom design allows for a soft, forgiving foot landing on the front of the belt, while providing a firm push-off from the rear, providing an ideal surface that reduces impact and relieves pressure on your lower body muscles and tendons, in addition to your lower back.

By waving or holding your hand over the side rails you can increase or decrease the speed (right side rail for increase; left side rail for decrease). You can stop by holding both hands over the side rails simultaneously.

Treadmill needed adjustments after 2 uses. Is sold as "new" but date on carton and serial # say it is a 2006 model. Manuel is very poor.
