An interesting book,
By James D. Crabtree "Doc Crabtree" (Fort Leavenworth, Kansas) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Parachuting folklore: The evolution of freefall
This book is mostly a collection of stories which look at different aspects of parachuting (but does not include airborne infantry) and it is well-illustrated with black and white photos. Unlike other books I've seen on this subject it really does discuss a lot about the sport of skydiving. A lot has changed since this book came out almost 30 years ago but it is still good as a historical reference, especially when it comes to "bat wings."
