More About the Author

John Verderame was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1955. From the time he was a young child he has had a sense of wonder about the universe that led to an interest in, and the study of, astronomy, biology, geology, and theology, and a fascination with the space program. He has a B.S. in Biology and a Master's in Theology. John has traveled extensively, including riding a bicycle across the U.S.A., and living in Italy for a number of years, where his lifelong admiration of Galileo Galilei and his willingness to "go against the tide" was solidified. He has broad work experience ranging through everything from lead singer and organist in a rock band, to health inspector, quality control lab technician, metallurgy, telescope manufacture, and code enforcement officer for the Cody, Wyoming police department (now retired). John is an amateur astronomer, avid book and rock collector and enjoys a number of other hobbies. He has been involved as a writer, researcher and speaker concerning the Creation / Evolution debate for almost 40 years.

The title is provocative and so is the book. At first I thought the author could have written in a kinder, gentler way. However, as I progressed through the book I delighted in his humor and slam dunk statements about evolutionists. His book reminds me of the child in The Emperor's New Clothes revealing that the king is naked. Verderame reveals evolution is an empty fabricated story.

Verderame's main theme in capital letters is repeated over and over:

"HOW DID NOTHING BECOME SOMETHING AND TURN ITSELF INTO EVERYTHING?"

He lists the tactics of evolutionists - mainly they avoid questions and attack anyone who questions their "findings." He also lists the Chuckie Dee (Charles Darwin) Club's Secrets. For example,

Chuckie Dee Club Secret #1: DON'T ASK ME WHERE THE PERIOD CAME FROM.

The author, John Verderame, is a scientist who has studied and taught about evolution. The book is clever, honest and true. I hope many will buy this book and talk about it with their children, give it to teenagers and college students and pass it on to teachers and friends.

If you are looking for a book containing the entirety of uninformed arguments against the theory of evolution, look no further. Mr. Verderame exhibits a near perfect total lack of understanding of even the most basic of scientific principles, how evolution by natural selection actually works, or even the scientific method. The book is nothing more than a series of logical fallacies, one piled atop the other. I can't imagine his biology degree is worth the paper it was printed on. This book certainly isn't.

"Evolution Is Stupid" is a very interesting book, very easy to read, simple language, funny and in-formal. If you are reading the comments and searching around, you most likely have doubts about Evodelusion (learned it from the book, it's a great word). Anyway, whatever the reason give it a try, read this book, challenge yourself if you have believed in evolution. Please be open minded when you approach this book. As the author puts it, if you consider yourself learned and intelligent and think you have figured everything out, don't bother, but if you are sincere and your are searching the truth about evolution, get this book. It's pretty small and funny.

I won't spoil the fun, so get it and read it!

Good luck!
