4.0 out of 5 stars Beginners, September 6, 2004

This review is from: Evolution: What About God [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a good movie for the people that are beginning to learn about both Evolution and Creationism. This movie has a good balance between both ideas. It also shows that it is possible for someone to believe in both Creationism and Evolution. So this movie is great for the people that want to learn the basics but for people who are ready to go into the situation deeper should use a different movie. But it is a great movie is for school because it does not try to convince the viewer to go one way or the other. It just gives you the facts and lets you decide on your own which is great for students who are trying to determine what to believe in and what to think. So I would definitely recommend this movie to schools. I enjoyed this movie because none of it was pointless. Every minute of the movie had a point, and was discussing something. Which is great because it kept my attention because I was afraid I was going to miss something. It was also great to me because I never thought about being able to believe in both Creationism and Evolution. But this movie put that option out there for me which was great. I did not find one thing bad about this movie and once again I would recommend this movie to any school that is teaching their students about Evolution and Creationism.

3.0 out of 5 stars Evolution part 7 what about god, September 6, 2004
By
This review is from: Evolution: What About God [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie displays many different and unique opinions on the battle between evolution vs. creation. Many new ideas are brought up which I have never considered. The movie was also relatively humorous. The movie displays many opinions over the question but does not come to a decisive conclusion of it. It also bgecomes a bit repetitive as it wears on.

This is a very good movie to watch in class do to its broad expanse of opinions and high eductional value. First, however it does help to learn what each side is talking about. This movie doesn't try to change people's opinions. Rather it is trying to explain the opinions of students who are split down the middle. The students are mostly science majors who are at a christian schools. Overall this is a solid movie that is good for classroom viewing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Evolution, Part 7: What About God?, September 6, 2004
By
Andy "ATM" (Goochland, VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Evolution: What About God [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The film, Evolution; Part 7:What About God?, gave both sides of the the Evolution versus Creationism an equal chance to tell their side of the story. In the movie many people explain their theories on evolution. There all sorts of people telling their theories. There were true evolutionists, true creationists, people half way, and people that were totally confused about the whole matter. But, everybody that was in the film had evidence and historical facts to validate their theories.
I found the film very enlightening because I had never heard the whole story of evolution, being a Catholic. I still do believe in creationism but I also believe in evolution in some instances. I have great respect for both sides because of all the proof each side has. But, who knows, both could be incorrect.
I found the conversation Nathan Baird had with his father about the issue very interesting because he mentioned the Big Bang theory and how it compliments creationism. I also believe in this theory because it explains the universe being created from nothing and just appearing. Who could have done this? It could have been God.
