Not what I expected...,
This review is from: An Evolutionist Deconstructs Creationism (Paperback)
I thought I was buying a book that would rebut Creationist arguments. In fact, I expected a point-by-point refutation of Creationism in favor of evolutionary theory. What I got was a fine, well put, critique of Creationism and Christian theism. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading religious critique. But if you want an outline of evolutionary theory and why Creationists and ID theorists don't have a leg to stand on, this isn't your book. From what I can tell, the "evolutionist" aspect (from the title) of the book was the author's explanation of the evolution of monotheism. All-in-all, a good read.

The Evolutionist Deconstructs Creationism,
By B. Phip (New Hampshire) - See all my reviews
This review is from: An Evolutionist Deconstructs Creationism (Paperback)
Von Hippel is systematic in finding flaws in the most important aspects of the argument for Creationism. Too bad this kind of debunking is not part of the day to day discourse. And, if one likes poetic fanticizing, the author's poetic expression in the last several pages, drives home the main points of his anti-creation thesis.
