Evolution of Godhead,
By Ryan S Matheny (St. Petersburg, FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Evolver (Audio CD)
When I first put this CD in the player I was expecting to hear something much like 2000 Years of Human Error. As I listened, I realized this was not going to be the case at all. With Evolver, Godhead daringly takes a different step with its music. The influences of Marilyn Manson (producer of 2000 Years of Human Error) are noticably lacking in this album, and that just might be a good thing. The overall sound is a bit more mellow and mainstream than their previous endevours, which, I must admit, took me a little while to get used to. Wayne Static's (Static-X) appearance in the track The Giveaway helped my transition from old Godhead to new Godhead. While their signature goth, industrial, whatever root sound is still present, the vocals and melodies are much more planned out and better presented than in previous recordings. The overall quality of the mixing and production are outstanding. I am quite pleased with Evolver and highly recommend it. Just be aware that it is no 2000 Years of Human Error.

This CD moved me. I put it in my discman and listened to it all the way through, and I can tell you that I went through different emotions while listening to this album. Its another excellent blend of metal, goth and industrial but this time it was a bit more guitar driven. This has become my favourite CD in my collection and I doubt this will leave my CD player for a long time. 5 Stars for gODHEAD. Excellent Album.

Their sound definately did Evolve,
By Evan J (Toronto, ON Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Evolver (Audio CD)
From 2000 years to evolver, there sound went from a goth-industrial to more of a metal sound. I like it. They even had Wayne Static (From Static-X) in the song 'Giveaway', which is definately one of the standout tracks, along with 'Ghost of your memory' and 'The Hate in Me'. But those aren't the only good tracks, listen to this CD all the way through. You won't be dissapointed! 5 Stars!
