A fabulous ending to an amazing trilogy!!!,
This review is from: Evolving Ecstasy: ALMOST HUMAN ~ The First Trilogy ~ (Volume 3) (Paperback)
This is Melanie's best book thus far!
As Felicity and Cain's relationship continues to grow they are both faced with making difficult choices that will change the course of their lives forever. Despite her love for Cain, can Felicity bear the idea of giving up her future human life of marriage, children, grandchildren, and a career? Can she say goodbye to her family to live alongside Cain in an undead existence for eternity? She loves him with everything she is, but is it enough? Cain is having his own internal moral battle regarding changing Felicity over. He wants nothing more than her by his side forever, but must debate the implications of taking her human life. Of course there is more excitement with the rest of the gang: Ben, Sindy, Allie, and the return of Mattie as we get ready for the first book of the second trilogy Born to Blood. Evolving Ecstasy is an excellent read with an unbelievable ending that left me in tears!

If you are reading this review you probably already know what the two previous books are about - but just in case you haven't, here it goes. "For Felicity, college turns out to be more of an adventure than she bargains for when she finds that her school is plagued by vampires! She becomes friends with Ben from the bookstore where she works. One night Ben and Felicity got attacked by some vamps. A guy named Cain comes to their rescue. Cain and Felicity start to have a relationship and the book mostly focuses on that."
This book picks up right after the second book. I liked this book better than the first two. Cain and Felicity start to have some problems with their relationship. Also in this book, I think there is a lot of action and emotional moments that makes the book hard to put down. Ben is in this book a lot more than the second, which was nice and you also get to find out more about Allie and Sindy. This is my review for the third book only. The author doesn't have as many run on thoughts that we saw in the first two books. I think her writing keeps gets better and better as she finishes with each book. I still think Cain is just a fickled vampire which does not set well with me. I really loved the third book!!! After reading the first and second book of the trilogy, I am even more hooked if you can believe that. In this book Cain's actions from the second book come back to haunt him, which I am glad!!! I have to say I was surprised how the book ends. I didn't know how it would end until the last sentence. I kept thinking something would come up. It is not very often that a book has me in guessing. I was happy with the ending but I felt there could have been a little more written about it (I made a discussion on my thoughts under this title, please feel free to use it if you want to discuss this great trilogy but keep in mind - it is all Spoilers).

I have been advised some of my reviews were lost. Iam reposting review which can be read as well on paranormalromanceguikd dot com
[...] In my estimation you can actually see the growth of this author in this book, Evolving Ecstasy, Book 3 of the Almost Human Series. As the plot thickens, the story becomes even more enticing. Felicity is faced with the question, "Do I wish to become Immortal?" As their mutual attraction continues, Cain is faced with the dilemma of what to do with this child/woman that has managed to win her way into his heart. Years of experience and self-examination have taught him that decisions not carefully thought out come back to bite him...sometimes literally. He has already made a grave mistake with Sindy, and they both paid dearly for it. Allie continues her secret relationship with Mattie and awaits his return. Cain has taught Mattie well over the years-- beginning from when he found him in a parking lot awaiting death by sunrise, not long after being turned. Ben in the meantime, lives in a world of denial and fear based-hate, busying himself by dating every Barbie Doll on campus.. The end of the book has a surprise twist that might be painful to some. But I must say, even though our author has been preparing us for this conclusion, it is still an emotional read. Remember Happily Ever After is in the eyes of the beholder. I have chosen not include spoilers in this review so as not to take away from this wonderful story, or its surprise ending...you are all just going to have to read it for yourselves! The next book Born to Blood by Ms Nowak will be out the end of May. Read our review of it here First... Review by Gloria Lakritz - Senior Reviewer Paranormal Romance Guild

I cant say enough about how good this series is! Soooo addicting couldnt put it down! Read all 3 books in 2 days. If you're looking for something similar to Twilight, this is it but soooooo much more!! I'm going crazy waiting for the next book! Please hurry Melanie!!
***SPOILER*** I must say that the ending of book 3 really surprised me. (Yes, I threw my book down and walked away!!) Early on in the books I could see that Ben was in loved with Felicity. What didnt make sense was how quickly Felicity dimissed her love for Cain. I mean she didnt even think twice about jumping into bed with Ben. It seemed like her and Cain meant nothing. I still think the series is great i just didnt agree with the ending and hope the next books bring Cain & Felicity back together. TEAM CAIN!! lol

Evolving Ecstasy is the third installment in the Almost Human series and it just keeps getting better. We meet up with all the familiar characters again and get to know each of them a little more.
This is a continuation of the first two books so you are advised to read them first. In this book, Felicity grows more mature and finds herself faced with decisions to make that will not only impact herself but others as well. We see more of the supporting cast here and learn what has influenced them to make the choices they have. Ben, Ally, Cain and Sindy are all back in all their dysfunctional glory. In this installment of the series, the gang are pitted against another faction of nasty vampires and must learn to function as a cohesive group. Cain finds himself struggling with maintaining a balance between his vampire side and his human values. I enjoyed seeing more of Ally and Mattie and Sindy shows up a different side here as well. Unlike most, I find I like Sindy more and more. I'm torn how I feel about Ben and Cain. One minute I like Cain, the next I want to tell him to grow a set. One minute I think Ben has matured and the next he becomes a teenage boy. All in all, another great story in the journey. This book has a little more mature feeling than first two. There is sex in this book and more mature themes. I can't wait for the next trilogy to see where the journey takes us.

Great Third Volume!,

This review is from: Evolving Ecstasy: Almost Human (Volume 3) (Paperback)
This is the thrilling conclusion to the Almost Human Trilogy. As Cain and Felicity hit some issues with their relationship, Ally awaits Mattie's return. Sindy continues to grow as a person and is not as abrasive in this volume.
I loved this series. Reading the third volume was like visiting with old friends. I loved the way the way the characters developed. I have to say I didn't see the ending coming, but I did love the way it ended. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the paranormal. I would suggest you buy all three volumes at once, because the story continues with each one and believe me, you are going to want to have the next one handy. Can't wait to read the next trilogy.

Book 3 Evolving Ecstasy- Addictive and interesting conclusion to the Almost Human trilogy,

WOW! What a conclusion to the first trilogy of Almost Human!
Evolving Ecstasy continues right where Lost Reflections left off, with an original conclusion. The twists and turns in this book are surprising to say the least! Before finding Almost Human Fatal Infatuation (Book 1), I had been searching for a series with the romance and action of twilight. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Almost Human trilogy. I was searching for a series similar to Twilight when I found Almost Human. This adult romance is grittier and darker than Twilight but the relationships between lovers warms your heart in more ways than just the obvious one. The main characters were well developed so that the reader feels the emotions of each. You will fall in love with Cain, Felicity, and Ben as I have. The Almost Human books are independently published so there are some grammatical errors, but not enough to distract me from this wonderful story!

What a job done by Mrs. Nowak! I absolutely loved this book. I am waiting with baited breath for the next installment. At times certain scenes left me literally yelling "Noooooo, don't" and "Woooohooo, yes!". I was sucked into the story and the characters became like friends. I totally suggest buying all three volumes because to story will not let you walk away without knowing "the what happens next" and even then that won't be enough. So kudos to Melanie what a start to what will surely be a long writing career.

Changes abound in this volume as unexpected alliances are forged and old ones are broken beyond repair...relationships are splintered and revenge is the fallout. Cain busys himself triaging the various factions, but in doing so he is forced to face some of his own fears and admit some of his own weaknesses. Realizing he can no longer escape his own nature, he finds the strength to temper his desires once again, choosing what's right instead of what's easy. In doing so he he attracts the notice of an elder such as himself who is perplexed by Cain and his lifestyle. It seems sacrifices for the greater good have given Cain not only strength of character, but strength to withstand even the harshest of weapons used against his kind...causing philosphical questions for both the reader and the characters as well. In this Romantic, sexy, and action-packed volume, Melanie Nowak supplies her readers with surprises at every turn, and just when you think you've got the story sewed up and figured out...think again. With it's cliffhanger ending Evolving Ecstasy has a "to be continued" that leaves you salivating for more and Ms. Nowak's upcoming book 4 is sure to satisfy!

Fantastic book! I was so enthralled with the entire series. It had such an unexpected ending, and I think it was so great how it ended. This third volume was the best of the series. She built the characters so well and so in-depth that I feel I really know them. Some other reviewers mentioned that it has a 'Twilight' feel and I do agree a little bit, but Melanie really has her own style. I absolutely loved how the story unfolded. I am so impressed with this series and I can't wait for her next trilogy!
