This is the third manual carpet sweeper in my life and the best I've had. It does an absolutely brilliant job of picking up pet hair from carpeting. Also, the handle comes in pieces and then screws together which makes it much easier to maneuver, my last one did not screw together and would come apart. In between regular vacuuming (with a high power machine) this is the perfect quiet sweeper.

I was skeptical that a manual sweeper could be very effective, but this product works beautifully! With multiple settings for floors, tile, short and long pile rugs, it does a great job on every surface in my home. No, it's not quite as effective as a vacuum cleaner, but I love it for electricity-free maintenance cleaning between vacuuming. I've had mine for about six months now, and it seems sturdy, well-made and durable. Definitely no regrets about this purchase!

I love carpet sweepers for a fast clean up and a way to conserve energy. The Ewbank Multi-Sweep is a solid, well built appliance. However, if you have pets, you will find that it takes more time cleaning the sweeper than it does to actually sweep the room. The Ewbank does pick up pet hair most effectively but emptying it is a bit awkward. You need to take a rag to clean out both dirt trays and then you need a small tooth comb to pull the hair out of the brushes and the wheels. To do a proper cleaning takes quite a bit of time. My old Bissell is easier to clean when it comes to pet hair and it does a great job.

If you do not have pets, I would recommend this product because it is definitely well made and for small cleanups, it would suffice. For those who complain about appliances being made of plastic, unfortunately, these days, that's the norm. It's not great and plastic definitely does not hold up but, sadly, product quality is no longer a priority in business.

This is a great product. It is a handy carpet cleaner and works very well for cleaning up small or hard to get to areas. It takes only light pushing and a couple of passes to clean up dust, small pieces of paper, small rocks, hair, etc.

I love this for doing a quick freshen up between 'real' cleanings, but don't expect it to get everything. You cannot get in the corners or along edges very well, but it does go wonderfully flat for under the coffee table, couch and chairs! It is a little hard to push on the carpet and takes a few runs to get everything sometimes, but it beats dragging out the 'big guns', and having to deal with noise and cords. I like that the bumpers will not hurt my walls or furniture, too. I am happy with the purchase.

I am a 75 year old on oxygen. I am limited as to what I can do physically. This little sweeper is easier for me to use and does a wonderful job. Was shipped promptly, and sold at a reasonable price as I have seen it advertised at a much higher price.
I was so pleased with my little sweeper, I also bought one for my daughter. Ewbank Multi-Sweep Manual Carpet and Floor Sweeper is an excellent product.

This broom just spit the dirt out as fast as it picked it up. Not worth even considering - I bought this first thinking it was the more expensive model and therefore must be better. WRONG!!! Fortunately Amazon took it back and I bought a Bissel unit at less than half the price that works fantastic.

This is a wonderful tool. No electric required! Picks up pretty well, but at times needs multiple passes. Fast shipping and communication from company. Would recommend to those who are willing to forego the energy and chemicals of conventional housekeeping.

Only complaint is that the roller does not extend far enough at both sides, therefore does not get the edges up to about an inch on either side...quite frustrating especially that this happens to be the most durable, heavyweight sweeper we've come across yet. It picks up pet fur as well as small candies and crumbs.

Perhaps the company will design their next model by extending the roller carriage and opening about an inch at both sides and then we're in business!

I was so pleased I received this product earlier than estimated from Amazon.com. The product itself is going to be fine. I purchased it for spot touch ups on carpet areas so I don't have to drag out the vacuum cleaner and it does a reasonably good job. For tile and hardwood, I don't recommend it, but then I use a swiffer in between vacuuming. I do find it difficult to clean out but simply make a mental note to vacuum out debris when I'm doing a regular cleaning of the home. Suits my needs just fine.
