A lot of people complain that this only has one new song on it...It doesn't really matter to me. The first song is a different version of "Of Gorgons Spawned Through Witchcraft" found on "Sheol." I like this version better, because it has a nice piano intro, unlike the one found on "Sheol." The second song, "Dawn of Eternity," is a Massacre cover, and it is very good. The third song, "Emerging From Her Weepings," is a re-recorded version of the song from the classic "Vittra." It is good, but the original is much better, not to mention whoever does the deep growls on this one doesn't do it as well as Peter Tägtgren did on "Vittra." The last two songs are taken from their 7" EP "When Autumn Storms Come." For n00bs I still recommend their 3 full length LPs, this is just for the die-hards.

5.0 out of 5 stars very GOOD!, August 20, 2002

The cd starts off with the song "Of Gorgons Spawned Through Witchcraft", and while the title may sound hoakey, the song certainly isn't. it comes at you full force as though it's a tortured soul finally escaping hells grip. for me though, the highlights of this disc are tracks 4 and 5. they've got a very, dare i say thrashy, yet atmospheric air to them. i recommend this cd to those who are new to black metal, and are looking for something dark, yet easy on the ears (unlike all that tr00 kvlt stuff, which, although i am a fan of, you have to admit, to someone just getting into this style of music, it's not exactly ear candy).
