The large size and detailed design of the chest pockets (6"wide X 7&3/4" high) was my main motivation to cough up the money for these shirts. The pockets have bellows on the bottom and sides, a pleat in the middle and a flap on top....Serious pockets for holding bulky items which are not too heavy. Moreover, the pockets are placed a bit low to allow easier access. One criticism:--I feel that one velcro closure in the middle of each flap is not adequate and should be replaced with two...one at the ends of each flap. The 'secret' pocket on the right is flat with a zipper on top.

I love the option of short or long sleeves made possible by the flap and button on each sleeve. The sleeves are full and do not bind when rolled up. The ventilation areas are effective and unobtrusive. I wear shirts like these all year around as a base layer; Adding layers over it when need be.

These shirts are very lightweight but due to the nylon-polyester blend, they should be several times more abrasion and tear resistant (but less heat resistant) than cotton. The shirts are easy to hand wash and due to the type of material, quick drying. Another detail I find useful in the gym and at night is the hang loop in the back

The quality control of these Airstrip shirts appears to be at a high level. I bought one at first as a test. All the proportions were right and the sewing was tight with small stitches. I then purchase four more in different colors and they all conformed to the same high standard. I plan to buy more in the future.

I wore this shirt three times in the span of 10 days on a trip to Morocco and Spain, and I can't say enough nice things about this shirt. The shirt runs a bit big to size (I wear an XL and it felt very loose), has two chest pockets, a pen holder, a "security pocket" - zipper pocket underneath the chest pocket that I had my passport in, and two side vents that kept me cool.

The shirt was a quick wash/hang dry overnight shirt, so it kept me from carrying too much weight on my trip. The sleeves also rolled up and could be secured with a button so they'd stay above the elbow.

I'm a big fan of ExOfficio products. They fit well, they look nice and they can keep up with me when I travel.

I wore this shirt for 19 hiking days on the John Muir Trail in July and August this year, covering 9-12 miles and gaining and losing 2-3000 feet each day. The shirt did an excellent job. I was especially pleased with how comfortable it was, as I have not been a fan of synthetic fabric shirts, even the putative "wicking" types. But this shirt was soft, didn't hold heat against the body, and didn't build up odors, all problems I've had with other synthetic shirts. We were able to do laundry only once, too, although I washed it pretty well by hand every 4 days or so. It felt as good as cotton but did not get soaked with sweat. By the end of the trip it still showed hardly any wear. I can't think of any way in which it wasn't completely satisfactory. It's not cheap, but it was worth the cost.

My husband loves these shirts when he travels. They are comfy, airy, don't require ironing, and they have worn well through many washings.

I like this shirt, but it does fit a bit larger than the other EO shirts I have. Great fabric though, running an near ideal line between Nylon and Polyester.

Looking to get the man in your life to throw out those out dated shirts? Try these, he claims they are the best shirts ever. They are wonderful and look good straight out of the dryer.

I've began experimenting with UPF rated shirts and find generally that they are plain and boring with little flare. This one is light colored for good sun reflection, and has a bit of . . . style. It is my favorite so far. I would like a block cut at the bottom so that it can clearly be worn (i.e., in intended to be worn) outside the pants.
