Preparing for the (PMI) ® (PMP) ® exam.,

The "Exam Question Strategy" and the "Types of Questions" detailed in the front of the book were worth the price of the book. The book also provides hundreds of questions and answers similar to other exam preparation books. This book, unlike many others, explains why incorrect answers are wrong and provides references directing the reader to additional sources if needed or desired. This book is an excellent way to review and prepare for the Project Management Institute (PMI) ® Project Management Professional (PMP) ® exam.

This book lives up to its name - it is full of questions, and it was helpful in testing my knowledge before the exam. I used this book, Andy Crowe's book, How to Pass on the First Try, and the PMBOK. The three books complimented each other well. Andy's gave a great narration of the material on the PMBOK, but was slim on the questions, this book gave me questions, but was slim on the explanations. I would recommend this book to someone who is near the end of his or her exam prep and want's to test their knowledge before the exam. Oh, and just a little detail in case the publisher reviews these....the binding on the book keeps coming undone. This book isn't priced correctly for the poor quality of it. For $50, I would have thought it would be put together better. On a positive note, some of the questions in here were exactly the ones that were on the exam.

Great book. I used this book as my primary source in preparing for the exam. The format and content of the questions were very helpful in my successful test experience.

I liked the format, especially the spiral binding that makes the book easy to use. The questions are good practice for the test. I was disappointed by the sheer number of typos throughout the book.

Going through Aileen Ellis' AME Group PMP Exam Prep Class and using her PMP Exam Practice Questions and Solutions book was key in my passing the exam on the first try and receiving my PMP Credential. I have looked at several other PMP Exam Prep books and sets of Exam Prep Questions but none of them held up to AME Group's approach. Aileen's catch phrase "Why the best answer is best and the wrong answers are wrong" accurately describes how she has carefully engineered a learning system that allows the PMP (or CAPM) candidate to place the myriad facts; Knowledge Areas; Process Groups; Inputs, Tools and Techniques, and Outputs; and the "PMI Mindset" into an understandable context that greatly facilitates absorbing the PMBOK and thus being able to pass the exam. And, her questions were much more in line with what I saw in my exam than other sets of questions I have seen. In addition to using AME Group's PMP Exam Practice Questions and Solutions book, those fortunate enough to also attend Aileen's PMP (or CAPM) Prep Classes as I did will also benefit from her ability to relate what's in the PMBOK to actual Project Management - sort of a "two for the price of one" benefit that also contributes to the very impressive "Pass Rate" enjoyed by her students. Getting the PMP Credential is tough enough. Make it easier by using the best tools and instruction available.

The PMP Exam Practice Questions and Solutions was a very big help to me. I credit part of my ability to pass the exam on the first attempt to this study guide. The explaination of why the correct answer was the best selection helped me identify areas in the PMBOK and other materials that I needed to concentrate on. This book alone is not enough to prepare for the exam, but is it is a very good selection in a suite of study materials.

I recommend this to my project management students as a good prep for the PMP exam. Not only does the author provide the correct answer for each question, but also tells you why the wrong answer is wrong. She provides good references to the PMBOK as well. I like the test taking strategy in the introduction.

excellent,

The author has come up with a new idea of telling us why the wrong answers are wrong. This is exceptionally usefull when you have those "Fuzzy" questions where two or more answers look good. This book shows why there is a better answer.

This a great book to prepare for the exam. Question format is very close to the actual exam. I used it to study - instead of just answering questions, I went back to the answers and studied from there looking at the questions. After a while you could see that there are "definitions" or facts that need to be understood. Study the formulas - I had at least 15 questions with formulas.

I found this book helpful in passing the exam. The question-and-answer format helped to highlight areas of weakness, which could then be reworked in the PMBOK guide. It was especially useful for the trickier areas.
