Use this and you won't be TAXED at all,
This review is from: Exam Pro on Federal Income Taxation (Exam Pro) (Paperback)
The author does a great job in explaining in detail the whys and why nots of each and every answer to this MULTIPLE CHOICE format study aid.Other than this, I also used the E&E for Federal Income Taxes by Bankman (another 5 Stars). If your professor will test you using Multiple Choice, then you have to have these two books. Good Luck, you can thank me later

Better than the E & E!,
This review is from: Exam Pro on Federal Income Taxation (Exam Pro) (Paperback)
I have both this book and the E and E and this book is what really helped me get through the course. I found it especially helpful not only to the MP part of the exam but also essay. Prof. P does an awesome job giving the student a thorough analysis of each problem in a way that makes it stick in your head.I also like the fact that the book explains why the answers are correct but also goes through why some choices are wrong. This helped me prevent myself from the traps and play on nuances profs like to set during exams. I would recommend this book to any student looking to get some practical examples - which are extremely beneficial when it comes to exam time!

Not a terrible option for practice problems if you're studying for a primarily multiple choice exam, but I just don't like the author's explanations of the answers. Instead of simply providing the answers with a short explanation, the author treats each question as if it requires an essay answer. Instead of just answering the question, he pontificates for awhile, causing me to waste valuable time having to hunt for the bottom line. When I'm trying to cram for my tax exam, I'm not willing to sift through a four page explanation - all I really want is the ANSWER, with a short explanation as to why. With that said, I hate tax. Maybe those of you crazies who love tax will love this book. Taking this class has only taught me that the Internal Revenue Code should be scrapped, burned, and started over from scratch. |
