5.0 out of 5 stars The right ideas March 15, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
While I was sceptical about this book it delivered splendidly. I was sceptical because there are many ideas about CVs and the perfect approach.

In fact, the author makes good, useful comments that will be helpful.

It still takes effort to get it right, and McCabe is inspiring the proper effort to maximise your chances of getting to an interview.

3.0 out of 5 stars Some good some bad March 16, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As an employer, I found some of the advice good such as changing the color of the resume and using PDF. Some bad advice I thought was to send the CV by FedEx or to send an item along with it. I do not have time to sign for things and if I received an item I would immediately think it was a gimmick. Also I don't need to know every job that you have done that is not relevant. Be very careful about writing an ebook just to try and get the job. I will read this and critique it thoroughly. It is not a game to try and trick the company. Be honest. It is true that I do not read all of the resume. Keep them short and pertinent. Writing a different one for each job is good advice.
