Our son got an Airhog Helicopter last Christmas and he loves it, but it is styrofoam and fragile, and broke once but Santa replaced it >> (Walmart). This year we found Pocket Flyers (channels Red-A and Blue-B) >>> (Safeway). This helicopter is more durable than the airhog. The important thing to remember is that all toys are fragile. This item is the (channel...

This item is the (channel Silver-C version of Pocket Flyers), which we have not seen. This looks like a good buy. Give it a chance, but perhaps you might want to buy look around first, instead of shopping online, so that it is easier to replace. Happy Flying.

This item wasn't out of the box 5 minutes and the tail rotor was broken by falling over on padded carpet. They included a spare so put that one on. 15 minutes later the top rotor broke when trying to take off from a hardwood floor. Never did actually achieve flight. RIP OFF!!

this toy is awesome! it takes awhile to get the hang of it but once you do its soooo sweet. the only drawback is that it is so fragile by the time you learn how to use it, its probably going to need something super glued back on. over all totally worth it

EXCALIBUR 8635S-1 Micro Flyer/Silver
I purchased this item for both of my sons. One was broken when we received it, so Amazon.com exchanged it. Great job, and thanks for the great service. However these helicopters are VERY delicate, even for use by college age "kids". They are lots of fun, but not worth the price as they break way too easily. Both broke, by the tail, within two days to a week and could not be repaired. It would be nice to be able to just buy a new helicopter and not have to get the remote/charger. The remote/charger is fine, its the delicate helicopter that is not. Obviously, these helicopters are history for us.

These are fun, but they break VERY easy. I even had it replaced once and that broke too. Each one only lasted an hour or two of total air time.

I got this for my husband for Christmas. He and my son are having a ball with it. Outside is not the best place for it but our living room has seen many takeoffs and quite a few "crash" landings. They'll get the hang of it soon. It does take a bit of hand-eye coordination. It seems to have a mind of it's own and flying it in a straight line is nearly impossible. HAVE FUN!!
