I purchased this bow cocker because I was not sure I would be able to cock my Excaliur bow while in a tree stand. I was wrong as I am able to cock this bow in the stand. BUT, this cocking device works great. If you have a cross bow that you have to strain to cock, give this a try. It is easy to use, quite and small enough to pack in the woods. I rate this a 5 because it works as it is intended ans seems to be built to last.Jim Hammond jim@shootingwithjim.com

The "but" is that it's noisy. If you're hunting and need to cock the crossbow with this, be prepared for a clicking noise that will scare the game out of the area. Cock the bow before you go into the woods and make the first shot count. I have a bad back and this really helps for repeated target shooting. It is well made, is easy to use and fits on the crossbow securely.
