I used this to take off the string when bow season is over, you just slide over the ends of the bow. pull and cock it in place which allows you to take your bow string off. then i use the cocking aid that came with the bow to lower the xbow stringer down. but don't forget to take rubber pads off first before taken string off. pads are located on the arms and mounted in with allen screws.
