This review is from: Excalibur Electronic Deluxe Talking Chess (Video Game)
The EXCALIBUR ELECTRONIC Deluxe Talking Chess is an ok product at a reasonable price. However it does not include a set of memories where one can save games, or positions. I bought it primary to study chess positions, games and openings. It brings 32 opening types which one can use to learn differet ways to start chess games for either White or Black. The device includes level of play suitable for the beginner chass player up to more advanced chess players. It has an evaluating function which grade your games althought it does not provide any ELO rating. In summary for the price I paid it was a useful purchase.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not so good, February 19, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My husband loves chess, and wanted to find an electronic alternative to his Palm Pilot. We ordered this product only to find that it is VERY hard to read/ see the screen. You have to be in a certain type of light to see the chess pieces effectively. The LCD screen isn't that big, and it doesn't have the option of lighting up for night time play. There may have been a glitch in ours because a few times it starting playing on computer mode once we turned it on. I wouldn't reccommend this product. Buyer beware.
