Yes, it looks somewhat cheap and the jokes are cheesy. And you should know it is often tricky to get it to shut up as it is movement triggered. This can be embarrassing. But it was hands down one of my husband's favorite toys-he got it for his brother as a gag and then wouldn't part with it. Our older neighbors and my elderly mother went gaga over it. We have the talking calculator also because I gave it to a child when I won it at a charity event and my husband made me order him a replacement. These are east coast, well bred stuffy people. Why? I would think everyone would find it annoying. Apparently not. Left it out in the rain and it won't die!
