This review is from: Excalibur Sky Wings Recon RC Airplane (Toy)
We have a different model of this plane, but teh remote and plane construction is the same. While the idea is nice, be warned that this is just another cheaply made toy. The plane is constructed of styrofoam, which isn't all bad. It is able to withstand fair abuse from rough landings. Unfortunately the wings and tail wing are rather thin, especially the tail, and do not take the same abuse that the body can. The propellers are glued on, and seem to fall out of adjustment rather easy. The battery life is very good, unfortunately we have never been able to keep it in the air long enough to take advantage of any battery life. There are no instructions that came with the plane, just a couple pics of how to properly hold the remote control. It is supposed to be steered by tilting the remote to the left or the right, however when we have been able to get the plane to maintain any time in the air, it seems that tilting the remote does nothing. The remote antena is very cheap. After an hour of use the individual sections of the antenna began to come out of the antenna when extending it. Now I have tape holding two sections together. The picture paper states that you must maintain 1 meter distance between the plane and remote in order to achieve best results. The plane flys way to fast to try to maintain that distance unless you are jogging after the plane, at which point it is impossible to maintain the correct recommended remote position to keep the plane in the air. We have only been able to keep the plane in the air longer than 10 feet once, its maiden flight. All attempts since have resulted in hard crashes to the left almost immediately. If you decide to try this out, hopefully you have better luck than we did.
